Hampton Inn & Suites Mishawaka/South Bend at Heritage Square

It was great as usual.

We checked-in Thursday 5/18 & by Friday until Sunday night there was a very strong raw sewage smell in our room #101, & in the hallway too. The staff sprayed the hallway & our room with little improvement. They offered us a room across the hallway, but that room had the smell too. The smell started to fade Sunday night and was gone by breakfast on Monday. The staff were aware of the smell but stated they did not know where it was coming from. We heard others complaining about the smell, but they were on the 2nd fl.

Seemed overpriced. It was presented as their best deal for a married couple. (2adults) What married couple requires 2 queen sized beds? It was a very nice room , but to much room. Therefore overpriced. This was spur of the moment and all done by computer.,so we accomplished getting a clean overpriced room and can't really complain. I would encourage talking to a human if you can.. That wasn't an option here.

Our family enjoyed the outside firepit. 12 of us sat around and visited. I think covid is over and you continue to blame not making our bed or changing towels on covid. Breakfast was good and the gentleman continued to wipe down the tables. Gold star for him. We enjoyed being close to the restaurants on Grape road.

To noisy. All night long it sounded like a large motor was running. Then I realized it was the A/C system. There were tiles missing from a wall in the bathroom. You could hear the people in the room either above ours or next to ours. I never could pinpoint the source. However, I have already booked a room on our return trip through South Bend. I am willing to give it a second try.

Room was spacious. Close to restaurants and stores.

Room was not clean. Mirrors were not cleaned. Grease on headboard of bed. Also, be careful with taking their tour bus to any event at Notre Dame. Bus there had air conditioning, bus back did not. Pick up and drop off were at multiple hotels, which was not told to us for our event. Took 2 hours to getback to the hotel after the event. Front desk could have told us this information.

this property was in a beautiful location with a great store next to it where you can get anything you want to eat and drink. I felt very safe it was very clean. The people were very nice.

The only thing I didn’t like was they didn’t have bacon with their breakfast, but other than that everything was perfect

Omg thk u guys so much I really enjoyed my stay Ashley at the front desk was a 10 star player she was absolutely fantastic professional and very courteous I had a small problem on my end with my card but she fix the problem and my family was on our way she even went beyond and above to show us a very comfortable stay the rooms was very clean the hot breakfast was so good and everyone was very friendly from the staff to the guest the pool was very clean and I would give this motel 100 stars if i could I recommend this motel to anyone it was definitely a stay I will never forget thk u guys for everything I’m most definitely coming back and not let me forget Ashley friend who also work there thk u so much guys

I absolutely love everything

I got lost trying to find the property. The nice lady on duty guided me in while talking on the phone. I am so grateful. Next morning the Manager brought out his air compressor and pumped up a tire for me. Very helpful, very comfortable stay. Thank you all!🙏 🌹

All was excellent.

Very good location. Away from the other hotels so this hotel was not busting at the seams with soccer teams. (This has happened at other hotels in the area we have stayed at during Memorial Day Weekend). Quiet hotel but next to a large Martin’s grocery store with numerous hot and ready to eat food options in the store. Frozen yogurt/ice-cream in walking distance too. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was amazing! Breakfast was grab and go, filling and good. The pool and workout room were clean and spacious. My family will definitely stay again.

The only negative and I hesitate to even mention it was the kitchen staff person needed some prodding to refill items, but the front desk staff stepped right in to get items refilled and even brought food/drink to us. The front desk staff was pleasant, professional, and helpful in all interactions-reservations and during our stay.

pleasantly surprised with the breakfast, good variety, only wished they had more fresh fruit. The pool was very well maintained and clean. The room was comfortable. Really pleased with the location, close to many restaurants and shopping.

Sometimes there was not enough seating for everyone at breakfast during the most popular times for breakfast.
