The Clover Hotel

The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I was in town for a funeral and they definitely made this last minute stay a pleasure. It was very clean throughout the facility and the Pool area was nice as well! I didn't get an opportunity to try breakfast due to preparing early for services. It was very quiet and the beds were comfy indeed! I am a night hot flasher and the cooling system was ON POINT!

I honestly can't say anything bad. It was a nice experience. If they offered a Cafe or Grille for late hours to get food it would be really great! Only recommendation is to do a little night reception for 2 hours in the evening and charge just a little more do a light bar, some wings, meatballs cheese tray and crackers and nuts finger foods because you have the room and the update is beautiful! Put Embassy out of business! Love this place!

The room was very large, and the price was very economical for a big football weekend. The Front Desk staff was very helpful and responsive throughout the weekend. The television and cable were great. The closet is small but there is a lot of storage space overall.

There is no elevator; there were no bars in the shower. The carpet needs replacing, badly. They need to reopen their restaurant and pub. It would really enhance the property. They have a huge piece of land. I would like to see the owners better utilize this asset if they are able.

The rooms were away from the road far enough to stop traffic noise. The room was clean when we got there and the staff was very helpful helping us find the room and make sure we were able to key in the building and the room.

We stayed three nights and the room was never cleaned or restocked with towels and coffee. The first day we met family for breakfast across town. The confirmation said included breakfast. The second morning my wife went to check out the breakfast and asked the front desk about the breakfast. He told her there was no breakfast included but that they had a restaurant that was $10 per person for breakfast.

The manager there was amazing, as was the morning staff. Very friendly, down to Earth people. Instead of having us wait, he upgraded our room to a king because our room wasn't completely ready! The new owners have remodeled this hotel beautifully! This will be our o to hotel when we go to Niles, Michigan from now on! It's a further drive from our family, but we'll worth it! It was a wonderful stay there!

There is nothing remotely bad to say about our entire stay.

For the price, this hotel is very well-equipped and maintained. Well-located amid restaurants and stores. My room was in excellent condition and looked classy, with an in-the-wall TV and plenty of table space. Power and USB outlets were also plentiful. The receptionists were very professional, pleasant, and helpful. Very efficient HVAC ran quiet and made the room very comfortable. No bad odors whatsoever. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in a long time.

I found very little to dislike. My biggest gripe is that the included breakfast isn't served past 9 AM. By that time, there was nothing left except some bruised fruit. The HVAC unit made intermittent noise even when shut off. The shower temperature was very difficult to control.

we decided to eat in the restaurant and we were glad we did. fast and friendly service. food was tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was fantastic...the sweet lady who ran it was awesome! We were told the night before that breakfast was until 10am when it was only till 9am. We showed up at 855 and were never once made to feel rushed. We were even treated to a few stories about her grandchildren. She made our day!!!

No elevator or luggage racks made getting our belongings to our second floor room.

No room services. I had to call front desk and ask extra towels. Then I had to walked back to the front desk multiple times. Also, front desk receptionist was in a personal call outside the building, I had to wait extra 20 to 30 minutes until she is back.. second day, room card was not working. I had to walk again to the front desk. Yikes.. also water in the shower was brown color at the very beginning but then it becomes okay.

I love the location. Also there is a guy working night. He is so awesome very sweet and very professional. Room was very nice. Comfy bed. I look forward to stay there again if I get a chance.

The hotel has recently been renovated. The room was spacious, well designed, and the bed was comfortable. The location is close to the interstate and not far from Notre Dame.

The delta shower control knob was broken and came off in my hand when trying to adjust it. I mentioned it to the staff, and they said they would take care of it. The up-charge for pets staying in the room at $50 per night seemed a bit excessive to me.

Our room did not have a working air conditioning. The staff quickly got another room that did have air conditioning. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The cleanliness was excellent. Excellent location. Very comfortable.

At breakfast they ran out of milk, and bacon. The breakfast staff blamed (them who was supposed to go to the store. We had children and they wanted cereal and milk.

Great recent renovations, with new beds, rugs, furnishings, etc., yet still has a bit of the old charm (when it was the Waterford Lodge). The room is very comfortable. Has microwave, refrigerator, counter for munchies. Good location to get to both South Bend proper and Mishawaka. The staff is really superb and welcoming. The indoor pool was perfect after a long drive. They ask that you reserve your hour for the pool, and frankly, that was great--I could relax without other people's kids in the pool. We'll be back!

They're still working post-COVID on bringing back breakfast. Right now it's a grab and go bag.
