Wyndham New Orleans French Quarter

This was ideally located on Royal street. Near enough to both Bourbon and Canal streets, but we didnt experience any disruptive noise from outside. It's near a lot of restaurants and cafes and right across the hotel is the Unique Grocery (yes, that's its name) where its convenient to buy stuff you might need. Check in was a breeze, and the helpful staff handed us a copy of the nearby restaurants and cafes including their opening and closing schedules, so that was really helpful. There were several facilities in the hotel like a pool, gym, etc. We weren't able to utilize them but it's nice that they're available. Our room was good for 4 and we had a very nice view of the Mississippi river. Sunrise was amazing from our room. Beds were nice and comfortable, although a bit small for 2 adults (they were double beds I think). Bathroom essentials were available and complete. There's an ice vending machine per floor. Elevators were fast. Staff was wonderful overall. If I were to go back to NOLA, I would stay here again.

The front desk person was not very friendly and seemed as if I was bothering her when checking in. Also, the appearance outside of the hotel is less than desirable. A lot of very suspect looking people hanging around the hotel and the trash in the street gives the hotel a very bad look. Some work could be done to clean that up even if the hotel was to hire its own clean up crew. It would be worth the investment.

location was in the middle of where we wanted to be. beds were comfortable and the staff was accommodating. The room and the view was quite nice.

I thought based on the genius level that I am, the hotel provided breakfast --- even it was a cold breakfast. I was wrong. They had no facilities for food, except to take something up to the room. Disappointment!

Best location, staff at the front desk Malcolm , the concierge Sean excellent, Ty the bellman and some of the housekeeping departmemt were awesome.

We didn’t like that there were NO restaurant at the hotel even though on the internet says that there is one Restaurant. Also since is near Canal there are to much noise.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything staff was friendly except one security guard. Will defiantly stay when i return.

I specifically called the front desk and asked what time the pool closed. The front desk lady said its open 24hrs to guest. Was in the pool 20 minutes before a very rude security guard came and said the pool was closing and we had to get out.

Nice facility, bad location.

A lot of homeless people literally dedicating on the side walks and urinating in the street while we were standing there. I would not return to this location again it was filthy. Next time if ever we visit New Orleans I would stay outside of the French quarter.

Situated in the French Quarter. Most of the desirable touristy areas within fairly easy walking distance, Helpful staff, big comfortable bed.

I was never able to determine if any food was available at the hotel. My wife didn’t like the pillows, said they were too flat, and ended us using a travel pillow she’d brought along. The parking is highway robbery, $40 to park, two $5 tips to the valleys, and I was out fifty bucks to house the F-150 overnight. The only way I would ever stay at this hotel again would be on the occasion I’d flown into town and was taxied to the hotel.

Great location, responsive staff, good value vs other nearby options

A few more/heavier dumbells in the gym, slight cleaning issue in the room (overall was clean just one things overlooked) and it was handled immediately once I told the front desk.

The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in the city.

I was disappointed that the room did not have a mini fridge, nor a microwave oven. And I was more disappointed that the website did not disclose it. If I knew this in advance, I would not have selected this hotel.

The hotel was in a perfect location for what we wanted to do, which was visit the WWII Museum and other museums, walk around the Vieux Carre to gawk at the beautiful architecture, browse antique stores, and shop. It was central to all of those places/activities. There are lots of restaurants and shops near the hotel, and it isn’t a far walk to the French Market area. As a middle-aged woman, I felt safe walking around by myself even at night. The hotel has a great security staff, which gave our family extra peace of mind. It also has a nice indoor pool on the 10th floor, which made my daughter very happy. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

The only complaint I have is that it can get a little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, which is to be expected.
