Quality Inn

We typically do not like hotel breakfast so we didn't eat there. However it was very easy to load and unload at this motel with a 10 min parking space right inside the front door. The foyer was a little awkward as they were two of them. It appeared some type of renovation had been done. The thing that stood out to us was the dirty windows. Our room had a burned out light bulb in the vanity area, and we were not left any coffee pods with the coffee pot. We asked for those at the front desk, but usually bring our own coffee pot and supplies for a 2 night stay. The information about the area was very good. The detour of Rt 340 was a pain but that wasn't any fault of the hotel. Our room was comfortable enough. For such a small town the price for two nights was approaching $330 after Labor Day; a little pricey for what was there.

Clean the windows, double check supplies, pump up the lighting somewhat, rooms quite dark.

I thought the place was very clean, I was thrilled with my room. The staff was nice.

I wish that I could have gotten a ride to town. I didn't have a car. I realize that there might not have been enough staff to do that. I also wish there was more selection for breakfast. I stayed at a Clarion Inn in Asheville in April and I got pancakes and sausages. I don't like waffles. Also wish there was more fruit selection, like bananas.

Breakfast was included which was eggs, waffles you make, sausage, cereals, muffins, biscuits and gravy. Plus tea and coffee and juices. The staff from general manager to the receptionist were friendly and helpful. And very polite. Location of this place is hidden but also very close to town and AT trail is across street from lot entrance. Room was great, clean and roomy.

Didnt stay long enough to have any complaints in general. If you pulling trailer or RV'ing to stay be aware tight lot entrance on incline (If another vehicle is coming in or out) but trailers watch that dip to street.

I've visited Harpers Ferry multiple times & I wished I had learned about this place earlier. The location - and the ability to park at that location - makes the Quality Inn in Bolivar/Harper's Ferry an ideal place to stay for a night (or two). 10 or 15 minutes of a scenic walk & the entirety of historic Harper's Ferrry is at your disposal. No hassles with your car, breaks for R&R, etc. you can enjoy your stay in manageable segments. The location is quiet, the rooms are spacious & the staff is very personable. If you are an enthusiast of the area - I would highly recommend this place.

No complaints about the location. However, It can get quite hot in July & August ..... mid-September thru the beginning of November is the best time to go.

Location GREAT!

The facility has a very strong odor from mold or mildew as soon as one enters the hallways & within the rooms, it is quite stronger. Otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable. This odor is not as distinct in the lobby or breakfast room. This odor is indicative of collected moisture or accumulated water somewhere within the HVAC or walls and is developing into a mold. If not treated it will be a health risk to all employees and customers.

The location was a bit off the beaten path, not directly on the highway. The woman at the front desk was kind and welcoming. The room, was clean and fresh. The windows actually opened wide, not an inch like most other hotels. Breakfast was better than the usual fare, tasty waffles, egg and sausage sandwiches, cereal and oatmeal options, yogurt and pastries. Best of all, they had bananas and clementines, which I thought was a unique touch.

The air-conditioning was too cold on the lowest setting. It cooled off the room quickly, but we couldn’t keep it on all night. We could have used a warmer blanket.

The staff were very helpful and kind. All the other aspects of the property met expectations.

The facilities were par for the price. Not much above or beyond what one could or should expect from this price range.

Location is ideal for exploring Harpers Ferry. Breakfast was good.

I did not know there was not an elevator, not a huge deal but would have been good to know ahead of time. Also, I asked the person at the front desk about the town and they had no suggestions. Felt like they had never worked in the town of Harpers Ferry before. Not tough questions just general tourist type questions.

Location was very good as it was close to major attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Facilities are well taken care. Breakfast was good with a variety of items.

Parking lot was a little uncomfortable. Particularly for my room which was in a corner of the building. Car was difficult to maneuver in that particular area. Breakfast was served in a small room. People too close to each other in a state with very low vacination rate (45% of the population). Fortunately, we got up early and there were either few or no people in the dinning room.

The lady at the desk was very helpful - gave map of area and told us where to park. Suggested a few places to eat. She was very friendly, loved her smile! Room comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate with waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice.

We didn’t like the air conditioner - not able to change unit to variable. It was a little noisy to me, had to sleep with pillow on head. The tables in the ‘breakfast area’ were too close together, seemed crammed.
