Red Roof Inn Washington DC - Columbia/Fort Meade

Carla at the front desk was the embodiment of customer service. She was incredibly accommodating to our special needs. I have an immuno compromised daughter and we could not go into a public area like the lobby so she prepared all our registration material and came outside to take care of us by our car. Brava Carla. The location was incredibly convenient for us, and the room was very clean and comfortable. To be honest, we are used to much higher standard style of accommodations, but this room met all our needs and we would definitely consider RRI again in the future.

As wonderful as Carla was at the front desk at night, the daytime front desk gentlemen was the exact opposite. I called from the road two what the front desk know we would be arriving rather late and wanted to confirm our arrangements. To put it mildly… He was rude. I wish I asked him his name. We had requested a first floor room as a priority because of my daughters health and we were told that would be accommodated, but this man said he wouldn’t have a first floor room because he was busy and he created a rather poor expectation on our part. Thankfully Carla made up for all his shortcomings.

The rooms could be a little but more cleaner it looks as if the maids rush if you lift the mattress up it’s dirty so times you fine hair in the pillow case that’s not cool especially right now with the Covid them rooms should be scrubbed a little extra. And I think they should have better pillows.

This is the third time I stayed at this franchise of hotel. My first review was a bit harsh because I compared it to hotels I have visited in the past. And I should not have. If you want a clean, functional room with a comfortable bed, closet, bathroom and washing facilities. This accommodation is value for money. The camera surveillance gives added security. It offers no frills but my stay was comfortable. I particularly liked the cable tv and was able to watch Premier league football in the comfort of my room. I really would stay there again. Complete reversal on my thoughts of my initial stay.

It seems as if there is no consistency in the features within the rooms. My first stay at Red Roof Inn -the room was equipped with a kettle and refrigerator. In the other two stay there was no refrigerator nor kettle.

I love the space of the room. The bed were quite comfortable. I also liked that my room did not smell like smoke.

The neighborhood seems a little dangerous. As a women solo traveler I was a bit scared but I locked my door with every lock possible. The elevator seemed creapy. The AC needs some work, room smelled a little musty.

I liked the rooms they were comfortable, and clean. The location was perfect for my working needs. Customer service was great. I like it and definitely stay here again.

I couldn't find a ice machine or any kind of vending machine, one of the rooms I was in had a poorly working a/c unit but was manageable.

..l'm happy to say, l don't have any major complaints other than hearing people talk out in the parking lot, but nothing that annoyed me to the point of reporting it. There usually isn't anything that keeps me awake unless l want to be awake.

Room was very clean upon arrival, sheets on bed were very comfortable. Heater and A/C Fan mode were easy to operate. Room is of a good size, and the mini fridge and microwave are the perfect size to store a pizza and some drinks for a short stay.

The TV Remote in the room was barely functional, requiring extremely hard presses to get any reaction from the TV. The shower head was also very leaking, making the floor surrounding the tub slippery. There was also a broken bulb in the desk lamp.

The room and property were clean. The elevator is a big help.

I know Covid has affected the industry, but a soda machine or coffee would be a plus.

The staff and all are excellent work with you and are very knowledgeable

Clean, quiet, safe, covid-compliant with a great management team that is responsive to guest needs. The location is convenient to many eateries and services as well as main highways to access Baltimore or DC and everything in between.

There wasn't anything I disliked.
