It’s historic structure fits into the neighborhood. Doors lock at 8pm-8am when the desk person goes home and you have security and a key for late returns. I didn’t have a car, but there was plenty of parking available. Although the hotel is about a mile & a half to the water, it’s a flat walk with nice places to stop, eat and shop about half a mile from the hotel. Both Debbie and Will were very friendly and helpful. Coffee, tea, juice and granola and both sweet rolls or breads were offered at breakfast.

The room was very clean and the bed linens were lovely. The bathroom was a good size, well updated, and was also very clean. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

There were four people in our party, but the bathroom towels were only stocked for two guests. There is a Kuerig in the room - which is great! - but there was only one decaf pod to be enjoyed. These were quickly remedied once we mentioned them to the front desk.

Unfortunately my plans were changed by a tragic event that left me alone on this trip. I never been to this state before so I went in blind. All the staff including the manager made my trip memorable and so inviting. They suggested great places to eat and things to do. I highly recommend this hotel which I should actually address as my second home. Only because that’s how you feel when you stay there. From the breakfast, to the service the Marblehead Hotel I felt at peace and on some days I just didn’t want to leave. If you get the opportunity to stay , trust me and you won’t be disappointed. I originally booked there because of its historical value and I’m so pleased I did. Thank you to all the staff/ my friends for everything and I will see you all again soon.

My visit was too short

Close enough and far enough from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Uber to downtown about 12.00 avg. Quiet intimate setting. Delicious fresh fruit and breads for bfast. Staff friendly and accommodating. Beautiful grounds. Explored historic Marblehead and Salem. Was exactly what I was hoping for.

Room A/C didn't remove humidity from our room.

Loved this hotel, the wonderful staff, delightful decor, comfortable bed and bedding, location, service and kindness. Also liked the breakfast and coffee every morning and the lovely sitting and lounge area. The room and hotel have kept its vintage old feel of this remarkable dwelling. A perfect choice for our stay in Marblehead.

The coffee could be a tad stronger. We noticed some old stains on the clean towels.

They were extremely pleasant and nice. The room was lovely. Wish it had a microwave, but overall it wasn't necessary. Nice and clean, beautiful bathtub and overall a really lovely place to stay. Gardens were so quaint as well as the breakfast area and the little porch with outside seating.

This hotel is charming and beautiful. We stayed while visiting Salem which is a short uber ride. The town of Marblehead is lovely. The room was a perfect size and a comfy bed (loved the soft sheets!)

The walls are thin so recommend bringing ear plugs but think this is just par for the course with an older hotel. Or almost any hotel these days.

Excellent room very clean and comfortable

Instructions for TV were on top of the wall mounted TV so couldn't find them for a day or so. A bit of confusion over payments but Debbie the Manager sorted it and was very professional

The person who checked us in was extremely kind and helpful regarding suggestions for what to do in the area. They printed out a couple of pages with cute halloween illustrations and locations to visit in Salem. I loved the attention to detail and enjoyed chatting with them. The hotel itself was very well decorated, comfortable, and in a great area. Thank you for hosting us!
