Hyatt Place Lansing-East

Clean, accessible, close to restaurants and shops. Loved that our room thermostat was quick to adjust to whatever temp we set it and worked like a charm!

The location was easy to get to and had tons of free parking available just across the street. Definitely easy on and off for the highway. The staff was amazing! They were super helpful and friendly. The room and hotel as a whole was one of the cleanest I've ever gotten. This was my first time staying at a Hyatt, but it won't be the last!

The breakfast was alright, and the variety was okay. There were waffles, fruit options, and such - normal hotel breakfast items - but the buffet-style containers made most of it unappealing, especially as the fruit was mostly juice by 7:30/8:00am when I got there. (Maybe that was intentional?)

The facility has ample parking. It also provided complimentary breakfast. We also like to option to not needing housekeeping service which reduces cost and water usage.

If the room were to equip with couple drinking glasses or cups, it will be useful. Also, there were two bottles of water that marked with $6 each. Even if I were to pay premium for the water, I would question how long that water have been in the room.

My teenage kids were very pleased with breakfast. The to-go containers were great since one morning we had to leave soon after breakfast started. The breakfast service had everything they needed! Guests drank large amounts of coffee and often several coffee pots were empty but staff quickly refilled them. I appreciated the coffee maker & refrigerator in the room. Housekeeping took care of our specific needs as we requested (vacuum and replace towels that we left on the floor). We did not need services beyond that. Although there was not a microwave in the room, there was a microwave at the front desk area for guests to use. Teenager report: pool was small but nice, met their needs. Easy access to hotel. Quick drive from several areas in Lansing, including MSU. Several sit-down restaurants within sight of hotel which we used both nights.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. I had a very sore back after the first night, but that could have been due to the amount of activity I had that day. The bed was not awful, just I am used to a firmer bed. We did have to request a blanket for the pull out couch, the sheets & pillow were available. The staff quickly brought a blanket, the wait on delivery was very minimal.

Exceptionally clean and located within walking distance of bars, restaurants and shopping. There is also a secure parking garage attached to the property with an elevator that leads directly to the hotel. If you have a wife or girlfriend in need of a salon? Your in luck because it is right next door.

The pool area was in the 80’s but the water was in the 60’s. A pool heater would help make it more enjoyable for everyone instead of just the kids

The location was exceptional! If you're staying one evening for work the following day, this is a place to consider!

A very minor critique, only because it's outside of any Hyatt I've visited, is that there was a small stain on the sofa. For any standard hotel it would have gone unnoticed-- but that's not the standard I've come to expect from this chain of hotels. They are typically crisp and tidy, from the lobby, to the staff, and especially the rooms.

The location was super for the things we wanted to see.

Some of the public trash cans needed to be emptied more often. Mask on the ground entire time we were there.

It was ok!

!The room was NOT as clean as it should have been in these COVID times! There was a blood stain in the carpet in front of the mirror! On the room divider there were sticky looking smudges! NOT very clean!! So it was not a good value for the money..just because its a Hyatt hotel! I feel it should be better than it was!!

Very nice and friendly staff, bar open till late, room was cozy, clean, fine smell, simple, very nice bathroom with a walk-in shower plenty of space for two people plus a sofa bed. I got a room with a view to the restaurant I was eating at that night.

Duvet was almost plastic, pillows weren't very comfortable, tv isn't smart, and breakfast wasn't that nice.

Room was good size. Bed was comfortable. Clean, clean, clean and in GOOD repair!!

Probably COVID related, but breakfast was not up to the usual quality. Additionally, when we asked for some room supplies because the housekeeping was only 2x a week (again probably COVID related) the front desk clerk was quite sharp toned in explaining that housekeeping was only 2x a week, but she’d get what I asked for anyway. All we need was a few supplies, not full housekeeping. If the hotel staff is not fully vaccinated by now, SHAME ON THEM!!! Not the guest’s burden to worry about. Hotel staff should be REQUIRED to be vaccinated !!!!!!!!!
