Holiday Inn Express Rochester South - Mayo Area, an IHG Hotel

Very clean quiet area rooms big beds comfortable

Just that the morning desk employee didn’t let us know that the shuttle to Mayo broke down and wasn’t coming to get us to take son to Mayo Clinic. I came in asked if there was a number as the shuttle was late and that is when he told me. I suggested they put up a sign or verbally let guests know verbally that if they are coming down for shuttle it wasn’t coming. This in no way a negative reflection upon the hotel itself it was a very very nice hotel and enjoyed the stay

Loved our room so much space !! Expectually with 2 babies 2 queen beds in room and room for 2 playpins as well as a pull out sofa, microwave very decent breakfast !! big bathroom we couldent get out of our room in time !! We needed a little more time with 2 babies!! front service desk clerk was soooo awesome thank you Dylan once again!!! Will be booking here again thats for sure thank you!! Ohh and p.s hot tub with jets is always a + plus with me!! And call too make sure that pool is open cause on the website it saids its down but when we arrived pool and hot tub were up and going thanks Med city hotel for making our day !!!

The layout was great. The extra sofa area was a big plus. The beds were very comfortable. The built-in shampoo/conditioner dispensers were a big plus. The coffee maker was nice. Overall, the property was very clean. Hallway carpets are brand new. The shower pressure was nice. The pool and jacuzzi looked nice. There is an exercise room.

Although it was very clean, there were areas that showed wear and were not 100% clean. The location was a little further from the Mayo.

The staff is Awesome! The atmosphere is Awesome. Rooms are Big & Very Clean. Beds a very Comfy! Breakfast is Very Good! This is where I will stay every time I go to Mayo. I have never felt so Welcomed! After a day at Mayo, you come back here, and YOU TRULY RELAX! If you can get a room here, get it. They also have Free Shuttle to Mayo This is the Best place to stay in Rochester! Thank you to everyone here!

The size of the rooms for the price.

We came into town for a National dance competition. The hotel was just out of town, which we appreciated. When we checked in on a Thursday evening, the gentleman at the front desk (appeared to be a manager??) was very crabby and continued to explain how busy it was there the weekend that we stayed, and how they strictly enforced their rules and code of conduct. He even provided a paper copy... strongly suggesting, verbally, I take it with me and read it in depth so I could then go over it with all who were staying in our room (my 2 daughters and myself). As we came in and left, he would stare at us as if he was waiting for us to do something wrong. The other staff that worked throughout the weekend, when this man was not there, were very kind and friendly.

Our room we first went to (309) the air conditioning was not working, which I understand that happens! So we went to the counter and made the receptionist aware of the situation and she switched our room immediately and was very kind! The breakfast was also outstanding and everything in the hotel was very clean and well kept up. And all for a reasonable price!

There was nothing my wife and I didn’t like it was a pleasant experience!

very clean, comfortable and affordable. probably the best hotel in Rochester. you get comfortable quality at a affordable price.

I don’t like that if you live in Rochester that you can’t make a reservation with this property. I understand past mistakes other guest may have made but everyone is hit the same. it was very disheartening to hear I couldn’t extend my stay because I am a resident of Rochester.

Most of the staff was very friendly - all were very helpful. Room was nice size. Beds were very comfy. House cleaning only comes when asked which we prefer. All the amenities were good. Breakfast selection isn't huge but what they offer is good. Coffee available 24 hours. Being a smoker, I liked being able to zip down to my car in the parking lot whenever I wanted to smoke.

Can't really think of anything in particular to complain about.

The hotel was very friendly and had a great breakfast. The room was very clean and the hotel was quite. Would definitely stay again.

The shuttle said it would be there at 7:10 and we were in the lobby at 7:02, the desk clerk said the shuttle had already been there and we ended up paying 25 dollars on a taxi. The shuttle the first day was late by 25 minutes picking us up at the hospital.

Hotel was clean, with a great free breakfast and a snack bar for purchase. We got snacks for the whole family and it was under $15 still. Great value and saved us from having to leave the property at 10pm after a full night of swimming.

The pullout didn't have sheets on it. Or in the room at all. Had to get them from the front desk and make up the bed ourselves.
