Auburn Place Hotel & Suites Cape Girardeau

It was easy to find and was near popular restaurants, Our room ( king bed ) was big along with the bathroom. The common area was huge. Previous complaints from Taegan, Katrina, Laura B from Feb '23 were ridiculous ( TripAdvisor ) - LeighAnn ( manager at the time ) gets a pat on the back for kicking them out if they were loud since the common area does butt up to all the rooms and her taking charge was warranted for the comfort of all the other guests. These girls just sounded so spoiled. It was quiet when we were there - we did hear kids laughter going to/from the pool which wasn't irritating but if there was a party going on in the common area - that would warrant justified complaints. Thank you for considering the other guests - not these spoiled and uncontrolled kids.

Loved the interior space and rooms accessed from indoors (even upstairs even numbered rooms). Rooms were well-equipped and refrigerator worked great. Very spacious bathroom and good quality towels. Delicious breakfast options and coffee.

Odd number rooms are outdoors. We got even number rooms (stayed with another couple and two different visits - coming to destination and going home). First room was 154 and it was just outside of breakfast area, which was very noisy very early in the morning when getting set up. Second trip had us upstairs and further away and it was perfect!

Room was nice, staff was friendly, kids loved pool.

I was near pool in 164 and pool closed at 11 but then at 2am a group of about 6 young black gentlemen gathered outside my room being very loud. I couldn't sleep and they almost woke up my girls. I called front desk and woman said it was probably just people going to their room I told her no they are sitting around at the tables and chairs outside my room laughing and joking very loudly when I looked out my window. She didn't seem very worried about what I had to say. She was only staff I didn't feel was up to standards.

Rooms are clean beds are comfortable.

The breakfast continues to be less than Tyler on specifically breakfast sausage is just something that I can't believe anyone would intentionally buy to feed to guests. Gravy is marginally better but I'm not sure if the same sausage is chopped up and put into it if so they need to stop. (I'm really not a fan of sausage in the gravy in the first place but if that hideous sausage patties are being chopped up and put into it that's why it's only made marginally better by the packaged gravy mix. The rest of the items are pretty good.

The breakfast was very good. We were happy with everything with one exception. You need to keep the biscuits moist so that they don't get those hard edges on them. The room was comfortable, and the rest of the facilities were kept up and in good working order.

We were surprised that our towels weren't exchanged after the first night. We weren't all that worried about the bed not being made. The sitting chair waws a little oversized for the room and the desk chair would not fit under the desk without having to lift the desk up.

We didn’t like, we LOVED our stay. We were greeted by the most friendliest staff. Upon arriving, they offered complementary cookies and milk. Checking in was simple, the room was exceptionally clean. The bath water gets super hot and the towels and rags were in great shape. Happy with the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Bed was nice and clean. Convenient restaurants and shopping. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Hot eggs, waffles, cereal, biscuits, gravy, sausage, muffins, fruits, yogurt. Everything was great. Best stay at a hotel in a while. Our 4yr old wanted to stay again!

Loved everything

I love that the atmosphere reminds me of the Old Embassy Suites. There are fountains in the dining area with a little gazebo. The pool looks great and there are billiards in the game area.

There's no elevator. We had to carry our belongings and pet cage up the stairs. The coffee was just ok. We're traveling with a trailer and got the last parking spots to fit it in.

Love the property. Was beautiful hotel!

We rented 2 rooms which neither were clean. One had dirt on the bed like someone had their dirty shoe or something on it. The other had some pink stuff on the comforter and a pill was on the bed. In the bathroom there was something blk on the floor. There was also a bottle almost empty of soda in the fridge.

I've stayed there several times and staff is always friendly, helpful, and courteous.

This time, we were in a room where the door lock failed. The staff got us into another room immediately, though. They have a lot of new staff and they just need to pay better attention to detail.

staff accused me of smoking in my room, when I had burnt a muffin in the microwave. They apologized for not believing me later. But the whole fire brigade showed up, who were very pleasant about the situation. I apologize multiple times. Pretty embarrassing.
