Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cape Girardeau I-55, an IHG Hotel

Location was very close to restaurants and gas stations. The pool was nice and warm. You could jump into it without being cold. The jacuzzi tub was a nice surprise and very relaxing. Breakfast was good ok. There was a variety of different items to choose from.

Bacon was not included at breakfast. It's only offered on Monday and Thursday. The washing and drying machine could not take cards, only coins. Bubble bath needs to be available at the front desk upon request.

The room was inviting and felt comfortable right from the time I walked in the door. It was nice to have the different seating options. The beds were comfortable. I loved having the large full length mirror. For me, sometimes, is the bathroom--the counter space, the width of the counter. I'm short and I use a magnified mirror that I suction-cup on the mirror. I was able to lean over the counter comfortably and put my eye makeup on. That sounds so very minor but it's something that just adds a little more pleasant to my stay 😊

The location was wonderful

That no one told me if you booked AND PAID for 2 nights, a week ago, and you didn't show up for your 1st night, AFTER YOU ALREADY WERE CHARGED, you don't have have a room!! I showed up last night, on a Sat, they said since you didn't check in on Friday, we released your room. HOWEVER, I paid and was already charged for 2 nights 2 weeks ago. No one told me this. I should've still had my room available since it was already paid for 2 weeks ago. They gave me another room, however, only one bed for 3 adults and tried to charge me another night!!! May cancel any future trips with booking

As soon as you walk you in you are greeted by such happy and welcoming staff! You are made to feel like you are family! Our room was so beautiful and so clean! Having everything provided (Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash; plus Dove hand soap and lotion) was just amazing! The beds were perfect, so comfortable! The pool was warm and clean; we didn't have to worry about towels because they were provided by the pool! Breakfast was hot and perfect, especially the one minute pancake maker!

That we couldn't stay longer

Hotel was overall clean, staff was very helpful and friendly, our room was huge, nice pool area and the nightly cookies and breakfast were wonferful! Also, we did have a neighbor who obviously smoked. We reported the smell because we didn't want them to think it was us and charge our room a smoking fee. We also let them know the staff that cleaned our room previously left candy under the beds. While we were not really upset with either situation we wanted to notify them to prevent any complaints from the next customer in that room. After leaving from out visit management called apologizing and refunded part of the room fee. I would definitely stay at this hotel again despite the two situations.

The bed was more firm than any bed I'd slept in at a hotel and than I prefer which caused discomfort and little sleep.

The property was clean and everyone I encountered was super friendly. The room was bigger than I expected which was a huge win considering we, as a family of five, were all sleeping in one room.

There was no vent in the bathroom. The carpet underneath the the beds was dusty and there were crumbs/wrappers that had not been cleaned up.

Room size was perfect. Comfy beds. Our room was quiet. Breakfast was very good. Staff kept everything fresh and yummy.

Bathroom had a couple issues: shower curtain rod was a little off-kilter, so the curtain would not stay closed, and we would have appreciated another robe hook

Hotel was clean and the room was nice sized. The beds were comfortable.

There were multiple athletic teams there with kids running up and down the halls. The parents were all drinking together in the breakfast room not minding any business as to what their kids were doing. My room over-looked the pool too. They were a little loud, but they quieted down about 10.

Love the location. Suite was spacious and clean. Spouse liked sitting in the comfortable chair by the window. Slept well on the king bed. Coffee was one the best I've had when considering other hotels. Nice variety of breadfast items.

I really can't find anything to complain about.

Location was excellent ,. Right. Off freeway, easy to get to. Excellent selection of restaurants located nearby. Breakfast at hotel was excellent. Good selection of hot and cold items.

Had difficulty connect to free wifi even after staff attempted to assist.
