Courtyard by Marriott Cape Girardeau Downtown

This has to be one of the nicest properties that we’ve stayed at. I booked two rooms last minute for my fiancé, myself, and his coworker. The location is right downtown Cape Girardeau and it’s easy to get too with lots of parking. You’re within a 2 mile walk of restaurants, shopping, and bars. The hotel itself was very clean, our room was huge and very clean as well. We loved the high ceilings. The staff was super nice. There’s a bar, restaurant, and Starbucks inside this location and while we didn’t use any of these amities the food we saw looked amazing!

I like the location - you can easily park in the lot and walk to restaurants. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. The staff remembered us ( I have stayed there 4 times ) and were sure to give us a room with a nice view of downtown and the Mississippi River.

As a tip, the person I traveled with was not keen on the lobby smell. The restaurant may just need better ventilation so there never are any stale kitchen odors wafting through the hotel entrance

Staff was so polite and welcoming. Loved that you had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Room was clean.

The mattress was a little too hard. Shower water leaked all over the floor. Toilet paper was too thin.

The staff, bartender were super friendly and made us feel welcome. It's a beautiful building, walking distance to lots of bars & restaurants.

I didn't like the the shower door only covered partial the opening, water sprayed all over the floor and I was cold standing in a hot shower

It was very clean and the staff was so very nice. Easy check in and check out. Very knowledgeable staff. They would greet you each time they saw you. I had a great stay.

I can't think of anything I did not like. Everything was very accommodating. Great place to stay.

It was ok but didn't have decaf coffee. Breakfast options are somewhat limited.

The bathroom did not have enough places to hang wet towels and clothes. No moisturizer as an amenity which was unusual, I thought. I wasn't prepared for that.

The check- in person is named Saddy. She was very professional and had no problems with checking in. She’s a great representative of your company. Very happy with the service that she provided us. It’s great to get off the road and have a smile that welcomed us.

I had problems with noises in my room. I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I didn’t know that Broadway street in the historical district was known for hauntings. What a great story to pass on. 😝

I only stayed one night. We arrived late, and there was someone there at the desk to greet and get us checked in. It was quick and easy. The young lady that helped us was super friendly. I loved that the hotel was an historic bank building that was beautifully renovated. Had a quick breakfast there in the hotel the next morning, which was very good. An employee told us of another option for breakfast, if we wanted something more than they offered.

Great staff, original building is very neat. Had an old walk in safe that they use as a private meeting area. Bar area is nice and they also make coffee. Nice outside lounge area.

Weird room. Part of the hotel is in am old parts manufacturing building (per staff). Room was huge, had to be 20 foot ceilings and more floor space then 4 regular rooms. But the decorations were still for a normal room, which made it awkward.

The location was wonderful! There was no breakfast, not even complimentary coffee.

That there was no breakfast and no on came and cleaned the room or gave any in room coffee to replace it.
