I haven't stayed at a Roadway Inn in decades. But since my wife has family in Fremont now, I'll probably stay here again. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was friendly enough. We ended up here because Holiday Inn Express was booked, Country Inn had bad reviews, and Fairfield was double the price. I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad I did.
Unless you want to eat at Mel's three times a day, the location is not good. But then, it's only a mile or so to 23rd st. Truck traffic from truck stop is i9nconvenient, but not a killer.

Location is good. Loved Mel's Diner out front! It was nice having our room on the ground level. The water pressure in the shower was outstanding!
We found a long hair stuck to the wall of the shower. The drain plug in sink wasn't hooked up right underneath. The beds weren't very comfortable.

Huge room!!! lots of space, had everything we needed. it was great for a quick one night stay. I liked that we could go over to Mel’s Diner and get 15% off with our key card!

The rooms were very clean but the main lobby had dirt on the floor the whole time we were their. The smoke smile in the hall of the second floor was very bad sometimes.

Weirdly required to sign a promise to keep the room clean, free of "filth", and quiet on penalty of a $250 assessment to your bill. Offensive. Ice machine was empty even though the hotel was less than half full. Annoying.

This is an older hotel and need some uplifting. Carpets are loose, wallpaper is loose a- but it is clean and well maintained despite those issues. The staff is spot on wonderful and I give them A++++ from the front desk to the lovely ladies who kept us in towels!
