Best Western Plus Landmark Inn

After a HUGE mishap with other staff charging my card MARK the manager and his WIFE were so understanding with my fustration and quickly made me feel comfortable with the situation. Letting me know that the charge would be reversed and it later was. They also refunded my 2nd night (they didn't have to) after finding out I couldn't stay for reasons nothing to do with the hotel. So in the end they made it so I would stay there again. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was awesome. If I owned a hotel I would be so lucky to hire employees like Mark and his lovley wife!!!!! outstanding job....

location room was spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast was very limited. one day a big crew ate nearly everything before 7:30-8am. waffle maker timer didn’t work. Only sugar free option was Chex cereal. Worker said no one ever asked before. Bananas were old, on 2nd day the same remaining black one was still there. Staff does not always answer phone as they are sitting at long table in lobby instead of at desk.

We stayed for two nights. The location was good, right in town close to numerous restaurants. The staff were polite and answered my questions. Room was clean. beds and pillows were comfortable. We used the indoor pool. It wasn’t anything special. deepest section was only 5 feet but it was good enough for my kids.

The only thing I didn’t like was the heater. We stayed at the end of November so we had the heat on. I’m a light sleeper and the heater came on frequently and was a bit noisy. My husband and kids slept through the noise just fine. But being a light sleeper it woke me up constantly through the night.

Exactly as expected. Was a little skeptical about the reviews but was happy when i arroved. I am not picky about hotels. It's a place to sleep. Otherwise, we are out going to shows or exploring. Sounds like the other reviewers thought they booked the Ritz Carlton. You can't book a 2 star hotel and get mad that is not 5 stars. Be realistic, people. It was perfectly fine.

The appearance of the lobby was beautiful. They took alot of time to clean . It was so clean everywhere we were..we dropped the instructions behind the entertainment center and moved it slightly to.get it and not one bit of grime or dust was seen

Reception area was bright and clean. Staff at the desk were welcoming. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable king bed. The following morning we took advantage of the free breakfast and the choices were great: make your own waffle, hot sausages, eggs & hash brown potatoes, bagles/englush/bread for toasting with butter & jam, cereals, fruit, milk & yogurt, juices, and the most important the coffee bar! We would definitely recommend choosing this hotel to stay in downtown Laconia!

The hotel and our room were very clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but that doesn't matter to me, it was perfectly functional and the shower was a nice large walk-in shower. There wasn't any maid service available at the time of our stay I believe due to staffing shortage (seems like every business is having the same issue!) but they told us if we needed anything just to let them know and we were only staying two nights so that didn't affect us at all. The workout room is still closed because of Covid but the pool was open, we didn't swim though so I can't comment on that. There was a good breakfast in the morning which is always a nice feature when we travel.

The only negative thing I can say, and this is not the fault of the hotel at all, is that it seemed like this area of Laconia is where the homeless people are hanging out which can make some people uncomfortable if you want to go out and walk around the area.

The facilities, room, friendly staff, etc. were excellent.

I thought the breakfast was okay, with good options including bagels, English muffins, waffles, scrambled eggs, home fries. The scrambled eggs (synthetic) weren’t good and the potato home fries were poor. Adding real bacon, sausage, etc. would help.

The bed was very comfy. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of options to choose from. The hotel is located in a great location in downtown Laconia, close to a local bar with live entertainment, coffee shops and a Walgreens is conveniently located in the same parking lot if you forget something and need to pick it up. Hotel is also right on a river and the view is nice to sit outside and drink coffee or read.

The price was the room was a little expensive.

The property was amazing. Clean, warm and inviting. The pool was okay and the kids enjoyed it but it was freezing. The beds were cozy and warm - I slept great. The shower was fantastic. There’s a Walgreens in the same parking lot, in case you forgot to bring something as well.

Check in was a bit slow. There was no one at the counter when I first arrived and no one could be found within the lobby area. It took about 10 minutes before someone showed up. Same as when we were leaving; no one at the counter for checkout but there was a lockbox to put your room keys in. Continental breakfast was lackluster - a cinnamon breakfast granola bar, some lifeless fruit and mini bottles of water. It was all behind the counter, not within view and there wasn’t a list of what we could get. The gentleman waiting on us just said “so..... what do you want?” Maybe type out the days breakfast menu to easily pick from would make things go more smoothly.
