Gunstock Inn & Suites

LOVED THE CLEANLINESS! Rare at the big chains and it's a testament to the commitment of the innkeepers here and the pride they take in their work... I would have loved to have rated everything five stars, unfortunately, I came in late so didn't interact with anyone else. The economy dictates the cost was a little hard to swallow, but that is obviously not the fault of the inn but Biden-flation breaking the backs of small business owners and customers alike... I'd stay here again anytime. Beautiful, peaceful place and grounds. Would've loved to stay longer but alas! Back to the grind...

Everything about this inn was fantastic! Everything was spotless clean, not just wiped down but still sticky. There's plenty of fun things to do with children besides looking at the TV or browsing the internet. The livingroom is stocked with comfortable chairs and interesting and BEAUTIFUL VIEWS! Our hostess was very interested in our questions, informed, accurate and helpful. The fitness room is actually a HUGE facility filled with many weights and aerobic machines with a ping pong table and also beautiful views. There was a swimming pool which wasn't open so we didn't see.. we went in January, but I can see how it would be just as beautiful and fun in the summer. Our only complaint was the beds were very soft. My husband has a bad back. We will certainly be calling them and asking about beds with good support because this is the place we want to stay!

We loved the easy check in, comfortable and newly decorated room. We loved the bedding and slept so comfortably. Staff was so friendly, lobby beautiful and view breath taking. Loved the 24 hour coffee/tea bar. Loved the gluten free snacks! Thank you!

Toilet was a struggle and thought we’d have to get a plunger at one point. Would have loved a protein to go with the snacks for morning like trail mix or nuts. Hallway is quite echoy and it was rather loud when people were walking, or talking or housekeeping was near.

I really liked the lady that was at the desk. She was extremely helpful. She printed us out a couple maps of the Mt Major trails, she came up to our room to help us get the TV working. The room and bed were very comfortable. The new renovations make the inn very welcoming. Checking in was contactless. Our key card was waiting for us, and we were given our own code for the room door.

Our room was small but very comfortable. It had a connecting door to an adjacent room with a loft creating a suite. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Most noteworthy was the decor. This inn has been fully redecorated. One touch (which I think is brilliant) was replacing carpeting with an attractive laminate. The owner has applied her well-developed touch by placing a variety of wall and shelf art pieces in each room and the common area. The common room overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee. The inn is one mile from Gunstock and provides vouchers for significant discounts on ski lift tickets and rentals.

Breakfast was limited by pandemic conditions but a variety of breakfast snacks was provided in our room. The coffee and tea offerings in the lobby were varied and good, among them coffee latte, cappucino, mocha, espresso. So no complaints.

The best thing about Gunstock Inn is that it is 5 minutes away from Gunstock Ski Resort. The Inn is old but has been remodeled, it was clean, and comfortable enough for the rate we paid. Perfect for a short stay when you just need a nice place to sleep and shower. I'm guessing we probably had one of the smallest rooms in the building and there were likely larger more comfortable rooms that would make the stay more enjoyable for a longer period of time.

I read the reviews after I book and thought that they were pretty mean to say the least. There was no deception on the Gunstock Inn's part. They were upfront and honest on the website. Yes, they are under construction. Yes, the breakfast was exactly what they stated on the website. Don't expect Taj Mahal, it isn't. The Inn has definite potential.

The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. Mattresses and pillows need to be updated.

The whole property is going under a transformation with a new owner. Each room is tastefully redecorated and modernized, clean, inviting. Fantastic value! Staff is accommodating. I forgot earrings in my room. They called right away to tell me. They are shipping them to me.

Nothing negative to say, great values.

All the new updates they are doing. The rooms were roomy and clean and the updated features will be beautiful.

The room was recently updated and nicely decorated. It was very clean as well.

They are in the middle of renovations. Not really a negative thing because what they've done so far is great. But the restaurant is not open and there's a big dumpster in the yard. I bet within a year it'll look beautiful!
