Although the accommodation isn't by the lake it has a yacht club down there where you can use the kayaks. This was a fantastic experience - so good in fact that we went twice in one day. It was really easy to book them. Everyone was very friendly; there are a lot of Americans who return to this resort year after year. Our son enjoyed using the gym, pool and Games room. I really liked being able to use the outdoor gas BBQ - made cooking very easy. It was lovely to have a balcony to sit out on, especially at breakfast time, watching the early golfers below.

The decor is a bit tired, especially in the Games room. Using the Driving Range was very expensive.

The Suite I was in was a cute little place, like a small apartment. The bed was super comfy and there were plenty of pillows. Had a stove to boil water for a cup of tea. Plenty of towels for a hot bath. Private balcony with a beautiful view. And to my delight, skylights, one in bedroom, one in living area. The quintessence of the place was well needed. It was a good place to destress and relax. A stone throw from Main Street Wolfboro near the shops and restaurants. Lovely staff at the desk.... Well kept premises. Well maintained everything.

It was as expected. I grew up in a house from 1790. Am familiar with the creaks and groans of a well loved old homes. ( Not a complaint

I liked the location, room, and resort, but was disappointed with little or no snow to cross country ski. The complimentary coffee was very nice in the morning and I liked the pool! I will visit the exercise room on the next visit. The sign said there was a sauna, but we couldn't find it.

I wish you had a hot tub area for adults beside the pool. That would attract more couples and adults to stay. The lady at the front desk kept telling us our card wasn't working for the room deposit. She swiped it about 5 times. She eventually realized she was putting the card in wrong. Also, no snow but you can't do anything about that, just the weather.

We loved the place and recommend that every one traveling to this area be a guest at this establishment. It is beautiful and very comfortable, large rooms with all you need to prepare your own meals. Heated pool is a bonus.

We could hear the room above us move, but that is regular in a house made out of wood.... Need to be more aware of the hair on the sheets... not a big deal. Just make sure to flap it before covering the beds....the sheets on the beds were clean, but static can be an issue.

The value was great. For a great rate, we got a room where we could prepare our own meals. That’s a great break from restaurant food on the road. We also appreciated the swimming pool. Staff were very helpful when we needed a larger pot to cook pasta.

Kitchen implements were hit or miss - could have used a wooden spoon, and some larger ceramic bowls. That’s a very minor issue.

The location was very nice, a short distance away from downtown, quiet and near the golf course. Within walking distance of the restaurant at the golf course. We were on the 2nd floor and our balcony had a beautiful view overlooking the 18th hole and the mountains in the distance. Liked that we had a refrigerator and a kitchen sink.

Bathroom was a bit small but it worked.

Did not know of a breakfast offered, so didn't do that. But we did ask to check in early because preparing for wedding, by calling ahead, staff accommodated and was able to check in early.

When making reservations was told we were staying at a Windrift location but not the one next to the golf course which we were fine with. We went by to find "sister" resort. Came back, checked in with office and we in fact had a room at the Hotel right near the Golf Course wedding venue. It was confusing. A sheet and one blanket on the bed was not warm enough. Other guests used blanket in bureau.

It was clean and spacious enough for us and our son. The fold-out couch was lumpy but comfortable enough.

The front desk didn't explain how the heater worked. There was frost at night, and the default in the room was ~55 F. It turns out the A/C and heater were the same unit, but there was also a deceptive thermostat in the bathroom... just for the bathroom.

Winddrifter Resort had numerous amenities including access to their own yacht club where you had use of paddle boats and kayaks. There was ping pong, billiards, puzzles, etc. The suite had bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and leisure area. Tv in bedroom and leisure area. Excellent place to spend a few days.

Cleanliness, patio

Built for tall person. Couldn't reach to the back of cupboards. Entire kitchenette too high. Expected 1 bedroom not studio. No breakfast included. Overpriced for what it was. Required to leave driver's license to get into pool. Never would do that. Paddleboat and kayaks located downtown. Not anywhere near the resort.
