Bungalow Hotel

The location is fantastic and hospitality very warm & accommodating..

Missing battery in clock above door. Not enough towels for two people (2 each minimum). Fire place controls are a little faulty. No guide on how to navigate and use the TV or provided TV services. The number of and intensity of ceiling and night stand light fixtures are inadequate to light the space in the evening hours. It would be nice to have a couple of bottles of water in the room upon arrival. Would also be nice to have at least one operable window in the room to let in fresh air as it was 70 + degrees on the day we stayed. Stained wall finish (green) above TV from heat pump unit was unattractive.

Around 3 hours after checkout we realized we forgot an expensive bottle of champagne in the refrigerator.... yet no one turned it in. The staff said no one occupied the room after us, so who on the staff found the champagne?? At least have a lost and found so if someone does call or return for their lost item, it will be there. I found this to be upsetting especially since it was a very special 60th birthday present.

Love the small, boutique style of the hotel. The decor and set up of lobby is wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cleaning staff was excellent with the upkeep of our rooms daily!

The hotel could use a little more tender loving care as seems it’s getting a bit beaten up through wear and tear. The lobby set up is also wonderful but feels like they have let it go - seems you could attract a more regular crowd to hang out and enjoy the lovely patio and interior with a bit more hospitality - music, opening umbrellas, etc. Nonetheless - truly one of our favorite places in Long Branch and would highly recommend it to others.

The location was fantastic and the access to the private beach through the Wave Resort was great and super-convenient. The complimentary waters provided at the service desk were also very convenient. The room very was spacious and dedicated parking included with the room was definitely a nice-to-have.

The single air conditioning units for each of the two rooms were not strong enough or new enough to keep the rooms comfortably cool throughout the day. Only during the middle of the night did they start to be effective.

The continental breakfast that was included in the rate was pretty lame at best.

Loved the cleanliness and the feeling of home.

Breakfast was unexpectantly lacking. Noone was overseeing the area which was a bit messy. When my husband and I went to eat, there were two apples, a couple of bagel halves and nothing to drink other than coffee which was unfortuante because I'm unable to consume caffeine. When I asked the young lady at the front desk if there was something other than coffee, she said yes. She walked to a back room and brought me a very yummy orange juice. As a business owner of a restaurant and cafe, I understand it happens. My recommendation is to pay more attention to this area.

I loved everything about the place, the fireplace under the TV put out some nice heat, the TV was massive and adjusted to any angle you wanted. The Bed was the best part of the whole room which was a massive memory foam bed. The whole room was gorgeous and spacious. The shower was clean and everything about the room was amazing. they offered pool games, and rental bikes in the lobby. They had amazing food choices around the hotel and even had ice skating available around the area where the hotel was. INCREDIBLE stay. I would come back anytime.

There was nothing i did not like. The whole experience was perfect.

The property was amazing, modern and extra clean. I wish I can remember the girl that checked us in, she was amazing. she recommended us the best restaurants in the area and explained everything. she makes sure you get the full experience.

the manager it was kind of rude and cut the girl when she was talking to us. He definitely needs to work on his customer service.

This is a classic boutique hotel. By metro NY (NJ) standards, the room was very spacious and well-designed. The sofa and dining chairs were more funky than comfortable but the bed, the shower and the kitchenette were excellent.

Thanksgiving 2021 is decidedly post-COVID and I am tired of hotels all over the country making excuses for not providing the services advertised. In particular the fact that there is no bar and no meal service. Spending $250 a night and not having even the option of getting breakfast is a mighty nuisance. The website prominently advertises the bar/lounge and I was looking forward to having that and then being able to just go up into my room. The lighting (especially in the lounge area) could be improved. The kitchenette is almost useless without a microwave and without any dishes. Especially, given that there is no restaurant, no breakfast served, etc., the kitchen really ought to be stocked with those missing items.

The Bungalow exceeded my expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The location was outstanding. The beach, restaurants, and stores are within walking distance. Will definitely be back!!!

I think that they can improve on the breakfast. I wish there more healthy choices and hot items.
