Best Western Premier NYC Gateway Hotel

Bedroom perfect with convenient access to pool and gym, ice and laundry. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine and the coffee station great! A really lovely hotel just a pity we had to use a shuttle service to and from Manhattan but at least we could get there. Breakfast was previously included so it was a surprise that now it’s a la Carte !

A frequent shuttle service to Times Square free for all guests would make up for the poor location. Paying for breakfast was a surprise we were not expecting. Wish this could be included.

Great location to enjoy New York. Breakfast is alright and they even have a Pool. Easy to go by Mini Bus (Bus stop to go downtown at the Super 8 Motel, Bus stop in Manhattan in front of the New New Times Building opposite to the Port Authority Building).

It was clean, well priced, and everyone was nice. The room was comfortable and nicely updated. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The food selections for breakfast were great. Few hotels have turkey substitutes for the meats.

The location is super inconvenient if you want to go into the city and the shuttle stops taking people into the city really early. The nearest bus stop to take transit to the city is far so if there was a way to have the city put a closer stop, that would be great. It would also help if there was a guide on how to use transit to get around for the guests because trying to figure that out was a complete headache. I also didn’t like that there was no continental breakfast you had to pay if you wanted breakfast and it was kind of expensive.

We did not eat at the hotel, so we don't have any comments on food. Room was s expected. It was clean and bathroom were renovated recently. There is a lot of parkin spot located in a garage. Parking is safe and free. I would recommend this hotel.

The price for a bottle beer was expensive. Water of the pool was not crystal clear. There is no attraction around other than NYC. During our 3 nights stay, we did not get room service for changing the towels.

2-3 mins walk from a buss to Times Square Free Coffee station at the lobby 24/7 Free Parking bed is so comfortable room was very clean wifi, fridge, microwave all what you need if you will not stay in New York

The room was huge, with two queen size bed. I checked into this hotel after staying one night in New York Manhatten area at Pod39, paying 350 USD /night for a matchbox size room. So much for being close to the UN. IN Best Western, I paid less than half of that price and got a 4 time bigger room :-)

Nothing. not sure how close it is to the public transport to go to new york.

staff does not communicate with the guests about facilities available at hotel during guests staying, 20$ per person shelter was provided to New York City from the hotel while it supposed to be provided for free as many hotels do.

The check-in and check out process was very fast and easy but had paid in advance so that helped. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to put things away. I did not care about the view since I was only in it at night but I hope to get a better view next time. Parking on site was a plus for me since I drove there and used my car around NJ. There were always open parking spots, it was secure and easy to access. The Heating/cooling system worked great, something I have had trouble before with other hotels were you can't control how cool you like the room at night... that was another plus for me. I was not looking for anything fancy, just practical, comfortable and affordable. Considering the time of the year, last minute availability around the neighborhood and amenities this is a great find. I did not have time to use the amenities but will take them into consideration for next time! I highly recommend it as an affordable, comfortable, practical place to stay in NJ or close to NYC.

I felt that the room needed some more ventilation but it's something common during winter times since heaters do not filter the air and humidity as well as AC. I ran the AC for a few hours and the air felt fresher right away.

Rooms very clean and quiet. We were anle to Uber to NYC Sloan Kettering for a medical procedure. We knew that breakfast wasnt included, but there is a small pay for breakfast bar in the lobby. Coffee is free and available in the lobby. Nice large TV. We had an accessible room with many grab bars in the bathroom. Low rise Tub had grab bars - you should bring your own bath seat if you dont have strenght to stand. Nice amenities including coffee pot, microwave, fridge. We used pizzahut for delivery.Also supermarket close by car.

Everything nice, but could have used a free continental breakfast

It is VERY close to the Lincoln Tunnel, and the waitress at IHop said it is very close to an easy bus to Manhattan but we already had parking set up so we drove it anyway. There is safe, and well lit parking right in the building and gated from the street. A quick room key and you’re in. Elevator right to your floor. Our beds were FANTASTIC! Extremely comfy! Had to extend our stay a night and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Kids loved the pool, driving to anything we wanted or needed was as easy as anything is this close to the city…we were all pleasantly surprised by how nice a stay it was!

Our window had a big face print on it when we got to our room. Everything else was clean to the point to being sterilized, so I’m completely over it. Of all the things to overlook that seems easy. You can hear the train horn at night in the distance, and a little white noise on the phone drowned it out completely. The window is kinda small for the view, but if you’re staying here it’s doubtful you’re in the room all day to look at the view anyway.
