Ink 48 Hotel

The location is superb if you are driving. Easy access both coming and going. We also like the location as it is walking distance for everything we like to do. We found it very quiet, which is unusual for the city. Since you are “on” the Hudson you get a great view of the ships and the water. The decor is subdued and lovely. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Print, the restaurant and lounge, delivered delicious and unusual drinks and fare. The service was prompt and friendly. Our room was lovely with a wall of windows facing the Hudson - stunning and well appointed.

The upholstery on the room’s furniture could use replacing. The $40 a night “resort fee” is criminal . Prior to the pandemic, the hotel offered wine at 5 pm for guests, coffees/tea/water in the morning, water all day long, and newspapers- no extra fees charged. Now, with the $40 fee, there are none of these perks.

I got the room with the terrace on purpose just for the view. The view it was great. The staff was friendly enough. However The plumbing was terrible you have to flush and then let the water come back up which could take like 10 minutes and as you can imagine that can be a bit of a predicament. Also there is no room service.

No room service and the plumbing was terrible! Also I think they can invest in a better TV situation it’s really tiny for that price point of a room.

Comparably large rooms for NYC Quiet location

With fancy NYC prices, why no coffee maker in every room for early risers? Or at least complimentary coffee in the lobby? I would also prefer a sit-down breakfast option. However, Sullivan Street Bakery around the corner is convenient and delicious.

The Room Was Beautiful !! So Big & Comfortable. & It Was Close By Everything.

The hotel as a whole is beautifully designed and well-maintained. The downstairs restaurant is great, if a little expensive (even by local satndards). You are close to the hectic busy-ness of midtown a few streets away which makes it much quieter. The river is also a very short walk away at the end of the road. The rooftop bar is a delight in summer when the weather is good.

The rooftop bar has a dress-code which frankly feels a little pretentious and unnecessary. Also to access it you have to return down to reception from your room, show your passport and go up in a separate lift. It's not a huge hassle but it does make it feel like it's not really one of the hotel's own facilities and it's a little annoying if you are staying asa guest at the hotel.

The location was close to the cruise terminal which was very good for us. The room was clean, the staff was welcoming .

We asked for a room in a high floor with a view a few month prior our arrival, we did not get any respond or a room as we asked for, that was dissapointing .

Booked a room with a view and it was utterly fabulous! Everything looked like it did in the photos. Wonderful to have a decent amount of space and a comfy sofa in the room as well. Had a lovely stay and barely heard any noise from other rooms or corridors.

There were no tea/coffee makers no facilities in the room, which was a real shame as they were advertised on the listing. We had a busy schedule, so I didn't have the chance to contact reception to ask about it, therefore not sure if that would have been rectified or not. Opaque glass in the shower and toilet, and a gap under the toilet door, so minimal privacy if you're staying with a friend and not a significant other!!!

View from the rooftop was amazing, location was good. Rooms are clean and relatively big, so that's a plus. Would have enjoyed a coffee machine in the rooms. Super close to the pier and thus cruises to financial district/statue of Liberty. Super close to 9th Avenue, with plenty of nice restaurants to lunch/dinner at

Rooftop was often privatized so limited access. Security guys on the rooftop should chill a bit; we pay a decent amount of money to have fun, not to be importuned by rude security. Even the waiters were concerned by their attitude. The spa was closed, which is not really acceptable

The Ink 48 Hotel is situated in Hell's kitchen, not in a tourist-y region, however all of the city's attractions can be reached with the subway. The closest subway stations are a 5 to 10 minute walk away. I haven't tried the hotel's restaurant, but it seemed quite good, there are also some lovely restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel itself is quite trendy and their services are good. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely designed. A good price-quality. I would definitely reconsider this hotel when I will return to New York

We were situated in a room directed towards one of the nearby clubs. At some nights you could hear the music through the window, but manageable with ear plugs. I believe if it would be bothersome, you could have a new room arranged.

I attended a conference at the Javits, so this was an ideal property for me. Although it's within walking distance of Times Square and the Theater District, I like that it feels isolated from all the madness but you can still find a nice restaurant or cafe within 15 min walk. The staff is very kind and friendly and the lobby area is very stylish. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and I can imagine that it looks even better in the summer. Overall, a great stay and I would stay here again.

My only point for improvement is the lack of a coffee maker in the room.
