Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Farmington

The hotel seemed new (July 2023) - nice and clean all around (lobby, hallways, bedroom, bathroom). Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a KFC, a Taco Bell, and a Dunkin just a stone's throw away, which was convenient. And a 3-4 minute walk to the 7-11. Lots of free parking, and the hotel was far enough back from the highway that car noise wasn't an issue.

We could hear some footsteps and/or creaking at night from rooms that were adjacent or above - not terrible, but enough to get your attention. The pillows were a bit too firm (maybe just new). Not too many breakfast options in the hotel - but can supplement what you might end up buying outside.

Modern clean hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants nearby. Location by Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack was a bonus since it provided entertainment in the evening and a fun afternoon at the Horse Racetrack.

Walls were thin and you could hear people next door. Bathroom very small with no counter space. Need to have plugs near mirrors so women can use curling irons, etc. to fix their hair without tying up the bathroom from other roommates.

Check in and out was friendly and efficient. Very surprised with how open and inviting front lobby was. Room and hotel very clean and appears decor was new or recently updated. Good location for us between Finger Lakes and Rochester New York, For those who want fast food variety there is a Taco Bell, KFC and Dunkin Donuts just out front door. Would definitely stay again and recommend this property.

Was not a big issue but breakfast menu a bit limited and carb focused. Pancake machine was down both days so wife was a bit depressed. She got over it! Coffee machine was operating after breakfast hours but having juice machine operational as well would be nice and probably not that costly.

A new and clean hotel. we stayed there for 3 nights for touring the region (finger lakes, Rochester, Niagara falls), and we mainly used it for sleeping.. which it was was very comfortable for, just off the 90 highway. many eating options nearby, and a couple supermarkets as well.

the breakfast was very basic, a few more options would have been nice. also, this seems like a place people just stop by, not a destination by itself (no pool for example). its not necessarily a negative, it is just what it is.

I thought the breakfast was a little skimpy. I couldn't eat much as I am lactose intolerant and you did not provide any lactose free milk.

Part of our party had to cancel their stay on Sunday night because you were shutting off the water at an early hour. You could have waited until most everyone had left before you did that and because of that - I will not recommend your establishment even tho I think the accomodations basically are pretty nice.

Very clean and modern. Location good with restaurants and gas station. Room was very spacious. A/C was good. Big TV. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Lots of free parking. Wifi good too.

Nothing to eat at the free breakfast a half hour before it closed. Had just an apple and kids cereal. Had avocado toast at Dunkin Donuts across the street instead.

Clean, modern, comfortable and conveniently located within 15 min drive of Canandaigua. Simple breakfast with cereal, yogurt, beverages, bagels/muffins. Easy check-in and check-out. Would stay again if no closer options were available.

Not my top choice location but closer hotels were either fully booked or overpriced. Along the state highway so area is not very walkable. No issues with road noise on our side of the building.

The facilities were very clean, the staff was always available, I loved the way the rooms were set up. Plenty of lighting. The bathroom sink was in the bathroom, which was really nice. And the location was pretty, quiet, easy to get to, and had several "fast food" places nearby. And there were several Wegmans within a 15 minute drive from the place.

Really, the only thing was that our room was soooo humid. If we had the air conditioner turned down really low, it would sort of become less humid, but the moment the air stopped, the humidity kicked back up. To be fully transparent, I didn't even think of asking the hotel staff about this issue until I was on my way home. There may have been a solution they had, but I didn't seek it out.

The roll-in shower bench seat in our handicapped room was too far back away from the controls with the diverter at the normal shower head and main valve way out of reach. Also, a portable transfer bench should be available for use in the accessible room with a tub or as an add-on for this one. TV channel selection was rather limited.

Somewhat limited but typically not expecting much more.

When they programmed our room key apparently they did so for one day's stay rather than two. Had to get additional key after entrance to room was denied. For the price of the room, there should have been daily housekeeping.
