Holiday Inn Express Canandaigua, an IHG Hotel

Plenty of pillows. Comfy bed. Movable hangers so could steam clothes while showering.

Parking lot often had a truck parked near the remaining spaces. 4-5 guys would be standing there having a beer and laughing. I felt at risk. All 5 nights at least a couple of guys were out there. Motel let it happen. I paid a lot for the room. I came to get a space at 9pm. I should have felt safe getting things from my car. I did not feel safe!

The room was mostly clean, and our room was very conveniently located. everything was comfortable. TV worked with no issues. I loved all of the Dove items in the bathroom.

Shampoo bottle was empty in the shower. I noticed a few pieces of dried rice from someone else’s dinner on the bed upon arrival. At 1:00 am, I could hear everything in the room above me, including people walking around and being loud.

After a hassle with the reservation, we resolved the issue by re-booking online (see below). Good thing I like Holiday Inn or I'd never book a room again with them. Breakfast was good, although limited. (assume due to lingering Covid restrictions)

When I called the hotel, Holiday Inn said my reservation was cancelled by me. This was not true as I never cancelled it and, in fact, was calling from Syracuse to say we'd be a little late getting to Canandaigua. Booking.com said the reservation was still opened in their system. Holiday Inn refused to acknowledge the confirmation I had and wanted over $400 for one night. We decided to go there and speak in person but got the same response. Finally, while standing at the desk, we booked the room again online (at Booking.com) and got the original price of $144!

The hotel despite being rated 2 star was excellent and clean and comfortable. The decor was modern and what I would have expected for a higher rated hotel. It's the second Holiday Inn I visited ever because mostly I frequent Hilton and Marriott chains but I was impressed.

Rooms were clean, comfortable but a bit dated. Staff was friendly and professional. Nice view of the outlet. Reasonable rates.

Need a makeup mirror and nightlight in bathroom. Came to breakfast at the end (9:10) (sign said breakfast was open til 9:30) and only option was biscuits and sausage gravy (coagulated and almost gone). Left and went to a diner. Also don't depend on getting a cab or uber in Canandaigua. Possibly the hotel could form a relationship with one to provide service for guests.

The hotel is located very conveniently. The room had a fridge and very nice bedding.

Although I asked for a quiet room, they gave me a room right next to the elevator and ice machine. Someone in the room above clumped around late at night and early in the morning.

nice rooms, but a little pricey for value. breakfast is wasn’t fully ready when it was supposed to be. nice location and quiet.

needed to call for extra towels and blankets. it’d be nice to furnish with these in advance. otherwise very friendly staff

It was a good location and had a nice view of a pond.

Breakfast below average. A person can only have 3 coffee pods at a time and no liquid non-sugar creamer; asked for 10 hangers 3 times and never got them, finally wrote a list of things we needed and got no response. Requested twice that someone come and clean up a white liquid on the desk and no one ever did. Office staff often had no masks on.

Good location, reasonable, kid friendly and a nice breakfast and the staff was really nice and helpful.

Our room got upgraded and my other half had to sleep on a cot that was super hard.

The location was perfect. We have stayed there on previous visits to Cdga. We did not have breakfast and had coffee and breakfast sandwich at Dunkin Donuts which was convenient.

Our room had only one bath towel...not a big deal. We are aware that staffing post covid has it's challenges and appreciate that everyone was doing their best to "keep up" with the number of guests in proportion to number of staff.
