Chautauqua Harbor Hotel - Jamestown

The uncomfortable bed. We spent our entire 5 days popping ibuprofen and Tylenol because we hurt so bad from the bed. Asked a man in evening about purchasing a pillow and he said he would make sure he asked in the morning about it to housekeeping he was very optimistic and did say they could also mail one. Checked back with this in the am. 2 women at desk were not very interested in pleasing the customer cause they said no we don’t have them, call back in 2 weeks. A good employee would have said they would call us when they are in or be a little nicer like the guy the night before.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with beautiful views. All 3 meal menus for breakfast lunch and dinner are fantastic. Great beer, wine and liquor selection at both bars. Indoor and outdoor pool!

Minor complaints: Not a free breakfast hotel, BUT, that's not what I expected as it's not a chain hotel. I only bring this up so other guests know what to expect. Also, the fridge in my first room was quiet, but the fridge in the room I stayed at this weekend was a little noisy. But just 2 complaints at a hotel is WAY above average service to me. I only bring this up so the staff know and it doesn't go unnoticed because they are great!

Loved the view from our room. Appreciated having coffee in the foyer on the 4th floor in the am. Liked the bath robes. Bed was very comfortable and linens were lovely. Toni the concierge was FABULOUS! Please hang on to her !! All the food we had .... breakfast, Iunch and dinner over the 7 days was amazing. Guest services answered all my questions in a friendly and concerned manner. Housekeeping girls were sweet. I am a 69 year old retired business woman and have travelled the globe. You are doing an excellent job. I had a great time at your resort. Keep up the good work. Pam Forsyth, Toronto, Ontario

Staff very friendly. Rustled us a up a cup of tea and allowed early check in when we arrived after a long drive. Hotel is new and facilities are all in good condition. Lovely view of the lake It was busy but there is lots of out door seating so it didn't feel crowded. Convenient for the many restaurants/business on Fairmount Avenue.

The restaurant was disappointing. Supper the first night burgers served with chips (not fries) and devoid of any salad. Breakfast the next morning, ordered pancakes with fresh fruit topping - it came with one strawberry two blueberries. We ate elsewhere for the rest of the trip.

The grounds were very pretty. Our room with the balcony was large and very clean. Details were great like coffee available on each floor.

I know the restaurant is not a part of the Inn but we were disappointed in the food, especially for the price. My husband ordered the fillet and had to return it twice. The quality was not good. The fish sandwich we ordered at lunch was just fair. Our server was excellent, though. I would not go back to the restaurant.

The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the spa. It was, for the most part, quiet and a very friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely view of the lake from our balcony.

The cost per night was, in my opinion, ridiculous. Especially considering there were no food options included with your stay other than a coffee bar. I’ve stayed at hotels that were nice, oceanfront properties that had better amenities and cost about the same for an entire week as I spent for two nights here. There were three very nice fire pits that would have been nice to sit by if other guests hadn’t spent hours sitting there as if they were the only guests in the hotel. Maybe set a reasonable time limit on the fire pits? Obviously people should show common courtesy to other guests but they probably won’t without the hotel stepping in and doing it for them.

location is excellent. indoor pool and outdoor amenities are amazing. the room was clean and the hotel is beautiful. staff was very helpful and the turn down service was a nice touch.

I don’t believe there are rooms with two Queen beds, but the king bed with pull out sofa worked out for our family.

The hotel was located right on the water with a beautiful view. We enjoyed outside dining at the restaurant and sitting around the fire pits at night. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff were helpful. Our room was very nice - clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom. We enjoyed complimentary coffee in the morning. I would recommend this hotel.

We found the hotel to be exceptional. It was difficult to find places to eat that were nearby though. Some restaurants were closed due to staffing or the days of the week. This is not the fault of anyone or establishment however.

The service top notch. The location was way cool. The space was amazing, rooms super cc comfy. Way fancier than the price would suggest. The restaurant was simply superb. Tyrone, my waiter, was attentive and kind. And I was happily surprised that early in the morning all the ice was clean from the parking lot and pathways.

The sign was a little bit small with little hard to tell how to get into the parking lot. It was snowing so maybe that's the issue

Right @ point of check in we had outstanding customer service from a girl named catherine. Things just kept rolling in the same way with outstanding customer service momentum from there on !! The following 2 points are minor : I felt a little bad for the bar tender guy / food deliverer at your pizza carousel bar on Monday afternoon as he did look overloaded. There was no waitress on site to serve any tables. He juggled way too much. He was very pleasant but very rushed. Was super great that your outdoor pool was open for us on Monday (Memorial Day) but I’m pretty sure that pool is supposed to be heated yet it felt rather cold. Other than that -everything was EXCELLENT! We will be back again !

Pool water was too cold. A mosquito repellent would be very helpful. I swallowed some bugs last night -mosquitoes were SO bad ! I thought the fire would help kill them off but it did not.
