this place will always be home for our family anytime we visit long island. Donna the owner of the hotel was great, even her family who took over in her absence was excellent. The maids were excellent, the front office managers were excellent both daytime and night-time were excellent! The property was well managed! And Security was excellent! You don't have to worry about losing your personal belongings, devices or important documents! You come back and meet your stuff where you keep it or however it's kept in place. All staffs are great with kids! The most excellent hotel I have ever stayed. Absolutely no regrets!

Nothing else! They were that Excellent! I can't think of anything wrong! I had interpersonal communication with everyone! They had never met and my family before and they treated us with great respect and honor! No Hotel I have can beat that! Keep up the great work!

We use the room basically for sleep as we were visiting family in town. The room was nice and dark so it was great for sleeping. It also was nice and quiet in the area, even though it seem like it was constantly filled with people. Office people and maintenance man were very friendly. And the room was always made clean and the beds were made incredibly well while we were gone.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom could use a hook on the back of the door and perhaps a small table to put things on. Other than that the bathroom was spacious.

We knew that will be very simple coffee -tea-snack breakfast, it is in the polucy, so we brought food with us. But it is a lot lovely places around to have breakfast. Beautiful gardens, trees, pool!!!

The pond is soo beautiful, I missed it already. Just some fix near the pond not to bother , Swans, ducks and other birds, dragonflies...It is so great!

The location is nice - close to Northport Bay away from the road in a cul-de-sac surrounded by grass, trees and a pond. It’s quiet with no traffic noise. Plenty of easy parking. The room was clean and well maintained, though the decor is dated and could use an upgrade to replace areas of worn finishes. There was soap but no shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms. The bed cover is a harsh synthetic material so we removed it and asked for additional blankets instead. The mattress was new and comfortable and we slept well. I would like to emphasize that what made our visit nice was the staff at the front desk. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful and made us feel at home by accommodating several special needs. I would give this place a 10 star review if I were rating it on their service alone.

There was an planter filled with cigarette butts about 6 feet from my door. That didn’t bother me but in the morning around 8:00AM a group of people (possibly employees) stood around it for some time talking loudly, smoking cigarettes and putting them out in the planter. I was already awake but the smell of smoke was getting into my room. They were outside my window and I had to hear their conversation. Seeing how many old cigarette butts there were in the planter I could tell this is a regular event (which explains why my non smoking room smelled like smoke). I didn’t see this same thing in front of any other rooms and I’m sure if I’d said something they’d have stopped so it’s no big deal. I just want to make management aware of it for future guests.

We had a lovely stay. The grounds were pretty. The room was very clean. The staff was kind and helpful.

The parking lot needs to be resurfaced. There is a refrigerator, but It would be nice to add a microwave to the room.

Love the pool, lake, location. Off the beaten path for sure. Love that. The owner Donna was very nice and accommodating. I'll be back.

The showers are not regulated properly. Its either too hot or too cold. Time consuming playing with the shower handles. The mattresses are spring mattresses. They haven't made them in 15-20 years. They need to get all knew mattresses. Other than that, for 2 nights, and a goid deal $, It was very enjoyable. I'll be back.

The room was awesome! The ambiance of the hotel is so peaceful. It's a great spot to relax. The room was so comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The fridge in the room was a decent size. It's way nicer than a lot of the over-priced hotels in the area.

There were only a couple of problem areas. One is the shower water. You have to turn the hot water on alone first, and let it heat up. Then, tap the cold water -- but, not too much because it'll cause the water to get freezing. The other thing was, the room could have used a microwave, even though that wasn't a make it or break it for us.

Coffee from the office was good. No breakfast since this was a traditional hotel that reminded me of the motor inns when I was young. There is also a nesting pair of eagles next to the property that gave us a daily flyby!

It's a dated property but that is what gives it its charm. The beds were traditional and not pillow top. I slept very well.

A hidden gem! Tucked back from the street, it was so quiet. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The pool area has couches to relax on & plenty of chairs for sunbathing. The room was very clean and quiet. We never heard our neighbors through the walls like at some places. I highly recommend Chalet Inn & Suites and will definitely stay there again!

I love the pool and the overall look of the hotel. The location is perfect for us.

The morning breakfast items are all packaged sweet items, pound cake, muffin, croissants. I'd be happy with something less sweet like a package of English muffins. The mattresses could be better.
