East Norwich Inn

The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The ac worked well despite high outdoor temperatures and the shower was great. The room has a high quality iron/ironing board, which we needed for the wedding we were attending. There is also a good size fridge and a small coffee pot. The plaza across the street has an excellent bagel shop and a full grocery store. The basement sauna was a nice surprise.

The place could use some paint and a some updating. The basement gym is large but there were no free weights, just an old universal machine that did not work. I did not try the cardio machines. I read that some guests were upset that there was no breakfast. Our reservation clearly said that breakfast was not provided, but the lit up breakfast sign in the lobby surely confuses people and it should really be taken down.

The East Norwich Inn is an excellent choice for the budget traveler visiting the area. Quiet, clean comfortable rooms, a little quirky. Common halls could use some updating but, rooms are fine. A much better option than the similarly - priced chains.

This time they were extremely busy so, our 3PM check in got bumped to closer to 6:30. I could tell they needed time and we were starving so we opted to go eat and pop in on relatives. When we returned it looked like our room was the last one cleaning staff still needed to finish before they could call it a night. If I was a different kind of person I might have been a cranky SOB but, I work for a living too.

Was very happy with accomodations. Nothing felt "old" or "outdated".

When we returned to facility after our concert there was an overpowering reek of what my 16 yr old told me was potnsmoke. I was highly allergic and did have trouble breathing until we were in our room where I was able to breathe at the far side of the room. My son went and complained at the desk and apparently they were aware but couldn't do anything until there were complaints. Once my son spoke up front desk was able to stop it.

Great staff, REALLY quiet, clean sheets, big refrigerator, coffee machine, comfortable bed, lots of cute places of food around. You can't ask for more when you're on a work trip away from home and need your essentials of comfort for a night.

I'd love to have a hygiene set like a toothbrush/toothpaste since people like me might stay there for an unexpected work trip but it's all I could say really. Also wasn't sure why they didn't serve breakfast at all.

Staff was excellent. I'm a regular customer of ENI and both Vince and Robert are always friendly, accommodating, and two reasons I return there regularly. Also, it's probably the most conveniently located place (aside from air BNBs) that's easily accessible to the best places on the Gold Coast.

The rooms and hallways of each wing are just in dire need of renovation. I worked there as a teenager back in the 1970s and I don't think they've updated anything in the rooms since then. The owners should invest some money in the rooms and improve the place's reputation. It would pay for itself.

Affordable, good location, quiet. Nice architecturally. Close to a few restaurants and a grocery store. Room was basic but totally fine. Mini fridge and coffee maker in room. Wall outlets have usb plug-in which was a huge help.

Front desk guy at night was not necessarily pleasant. Day guy was nice but spacey. There are steps (no elevator) to second floor rooms- long hallways and multiple doors. But the price reflects this. It’s a good trade-off. They give you coffee for one single day and when you ask for another packet- it’s not welcomed.

The gentleman that worked the night shift was very helpful and hospitable. He was always smiling and offered a wealth of information on the area. Our family was there for a funeral, and the property made a hard time much easier. Thank you

No microwaves in the rooms and limited parking due to a poplar stake house whose guests use the parking lot.

Nice Inn very quaint. Room was good. I would stay here again.

There was no breakfast even though the website says there would be, I know they said do to Covid. Well restaurants are open. Last May 2021 we were in the mid west and the hotel offer hot breakfast as it used to be. The other things is I stayed 2 nights. No one came to make up the room or replenish the coffee setup or the toiletries. I'm ok with not replacing the towels. The rate the second night didn't drop. I first night I went to the front desk to get a coffee setup for the second morning. He had a hard time understanding that I wanted a coffee setup and that I had drank the first setup on our first morning. He did manage

Room125 is the best room in the place! King size bedroom with living room /sitting area. TV in each room. I love the faux balcony....I have my morning coffee in front of that window in piece & quiet.❤

The shower is not great...it does the job, but not great. I don't like they don't do breakfast...they have a great space for it...even if they just had coffee & muffins-would be so nice

Time of reservation was told bkfst is included. There was no bkfst. No credit was given. Just a sign was there. That’s not good. Did not like that

The agent at desk was dry. No smile, no courtesy. No info about Wi-Fi, number of keys. No Apologies for no bkfst. Room seemed muggy. Everything seemed moist.
