Holiday Inn Asheville - Biltmore West, an IHG Hotel

The staff was professional and friendly. Maria from the grill/bar was exceptional, and I would have to say she went above and beyond. By our second visit, she knew our drink order (13 yo, 1.5 yo, and me). She observed that my baby likes fruit, so she brought slices of watermelon so the baby can snack on so my son could enjoy our dinner. She actually took the time to talk to us. In just 2 days I felt like I made a new friend. Also, shout our to Kate at the front desk for being understanding that I was stressed bc my key card stopped working the second day and I literally left everything in the room but the card. I gave her basic info to look up my account and she quickly got me a new working key card without giving me a hard time. These 2 staff members stick out the most. But we had a pleasant encounter with all of staff.

I think it's great that kids eat free. I was disappointed at first with it costing $14. Most areas of the breakfast buffet were skimp and difficult to get out of the tray . For example, all the pancakes were stuck, and when you picked up one with the tongs, the entire row of pancakes tore; leaving it look very messy for the next person. Overall, I got my money's worth with my kids' appetite. The food tasted good. Just skimp on what's out. Customers had to tell the hostess that 4 trays were empty and it needed to be refilled. I would just suggest that they make rounds and see what needs to be replenished.

Spaciousness of room, walk-in shower (I’m handicapped). Grab bars in shower and next to toilet. The floor of shower was not slick.

Was taken back by no free breakfast. Breakfast buffet was set up like every other motel/hotels free breakfast but this hotel charged for it. Did not eat there. Would prefer two beds. Don’t like sharing bed with friend. Most handicap rooms are one bed which can be awkward. The closet hanging space was very small in rm 211. Didn’t like being on 2nd floor. What if there was fire. How could handicap get out of building?

Hotel was clean and easy to get to.

The walls are so thin. The couple in room next to ours were fighting ,& crying all night. I wanted to throw myself off the balcony! The doors slam so loud and no one had the courtesy to close them quietly. You could hear everything everyone coming down the halls, hotel lobbey and in adjoing rooms were saying. I'll never stay at another Holiday Inn. I was so exhausted after 2 nights of no sleep. Ridiculous.

The hotel was beautiful. In a great location. The beds were soft and comfortable. Was impressed they had DOVE products in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Would stay again.

The NOISE. We had a room on the 3rd floor by the pool. And it was so hard to sleep in. Then all morning we heard doors slamming and vacuum running. Did not get any rest Sunday morning. We was looking forward to some peace and quiet. However if we stay again we will request a room not by the pool area

Parking was adequate, room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms was nice and clean. Liked the light up mirror. Staff was helpful and kind.

Either my neighbor had a loud voice or there needed more insulation in the walls because I heard the whole conversation with his daughter about getting dressed and ready to go.

I love how pet friendly this location is, it has a great area to walk your dog, the landscaping is nice, the indoor plants are absolutely beautiful, it is very clean, there is a restaurant on site, it is family friendly, and the indoor pool and hot tub are absolutely perfect if you have children and need a place to let them wear their batteries down.

nothing- This is our Thursday at this property, I take my son here for his birthday and he brings a friend. It’s really perfect location for a quick getaway.

Staff was friendly and helpful. It was overall very clean. All our requests ( extra coffee, sundries and towels) were met immediately. Breakfast was very good and quite reasonable as kids under 10 ate free with an adult. Waitresses were very friendly and efficient. Easy access to the highways and downtown area, and 5 minutes to grocery and shopping centers and >5 minutes to a dozen good restaurants.

Maybe a slightly more formal dine in restaurant.. but what was provided was adequate and well prepared. Elevator was slow. Another guest was trapped for a few minutes and had to be helped off. Possibly a few more handicapped parking places are in order... Lastly.. the 3rd floor was under renovation and at first we were booked in one of the few rooms that were available on that floor. But the fumes from carpet glue and paint were too much to bear for everyone in our party. Thankfully the front desk moved us to the 6th floor immediately upon my request.

Breakfast had a lot of great options but the second day the scrambled eggs were really wet and almost squishy- everything else was great

The parking lot was almost completely full when we checked in late at night, we had to park a little further away- fine for me but if my wife were traveling alone she might’ve felt uncomfortable walking from the car to the building- maybe better lighting in the area further away could help, or maybe front desk should ask if a car escort is needed/preferred for anyone who checks in solo?

Heated indoor pool and spa

The jacuzzi in our room is old but works good But it's located in bathroom itself so can't watch tv while using it There's this big glass opaque window beside it but can't open it or cover it with shade so everytime one of us goes in bathroom, the light wakes up the other one sleeping on bed located on other side of window Also no microwave but there's a hutch for it. Beside the fridge Why? The other regular room has one and we're supposed to have the suite

Breakfast is not free. My family preferred checking out local joints for breakfast, and there are tons of them. Asheville is a foodie town.

I have no complaints . My stay was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The hotel manager is hands on. Always around, asking if we needed anything... he even scraped snow off my car shields.! I absolutely recommend this Holiday Inn location.
