Hotel Indigo Asheville Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Bed was very comfortable - we ordered those same pillows for our home. The provided toiletries were great - I have very sensitive skin and had no problems with them. The water pressure in the showers is excellent! Room was clean and spacious. The staff were professional and friendly - front desk, cafe/bar and the cleaning staff. My husband and I won’t stay anywhere else when we visit Asheville for concerts. Huge food portions! If getting the breakfast burrito, you may want to split a single plate with your travel partner if you aren’t solo. Excellent selection of ‘grab and go’ food and drink items available.

The server at the cafe during breakfast was not very attentive or efficient. Very sweet young woman - there is some room for training and improvement. That’s honestly the only critical thing I can think of.

The facilities at the Indigo are extremely comfortable. I always have a hard time falling asleep away from home but I went to sleep like a baby at the Indigo. I also found the bathroom shower and vanity spacious and very spa-like.

The Indigo is seen as one of the most upscale hotels in Asheville, however their customer service is sorely lacking. My husband dealt with a man at the front desk who was extremely condescending and rude. I also was dealt the same type of attitude when I called about two emailed receipts that I had received, which I needed clarification on.

The fire alarm went off and we were on the 12th floor. I did have to walk up and down the stairs to get back to our room. The most difficult thing was a communication from the management. No one said anything about what the problem was for quite a while, and most of the Guests were left in the dark. The communication around this particular event could’ve been much better. At least one employee should’ve been walking around the lobby area sharing with the guests what the problem was and when they could go back to their rooms but no one came forward to offer any communication.

I like the location, it was just a few minutes walk down Haywood Street into the heart of downtown yet just off a little bit quieter. The staff in the hotel were wonderful offering suggestions of places I might be interested in and the best way to get where I wanted to go.

I would have taken advantage of the bar area however, I drink wine, and I found the selection of red wine to be very rough. So I Purchased a nice bottle of wine from the wine shop and kept it in my room.

What a wonderful experience for our first stay at a Hotel Indigo! Online reservations were a breeze and the staff was so friendly and welcoming upon our arrival! I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel. Our room was lovely…very comfortable and immaculate! I also appreciated the unique footprint and design of the space. To top it all off the value was exceptional! Hotel Indigo will be our “go to” in any city we visit from now on!

Location is great. Value for $ spent was very good. Room in the penthouse suite was spacious and the view was spectacular. Restaurant staff were very nice and accommodating.

Offering of bathroom amenities (lotion, q-tips, etc.) could have been better for a penthouse suite. Same with condiments; only a few K cups for the coffee maker were offered. Bed room lighting (ceiling) was malfunctioning a little bit but we used lamps mostly. A microwave would have been a plus as well.

Hotel was great. The staff were all super sweet & kind. We had an amazing view from our room, hot made to order breakfast is delicious & in a great location,

The only thing we didn't like was that the site says there's room service & a regular restaurant at the Indigo hotels. This location had a bar, snack cooler & hot breakfast. There was no dinner or lunch served here. I think for the price point, it should have full meal service . But we would stay again.

View and location downtown was fantastic - I didn't have to use my car very much at all. The staff was wonderful, we were always greeted when entering the hotel and they were able to help us with any questions we had during our stay.

The furniture in the room was knocked up - scratches etc. and the couch was not comfortable at all. I didn't realize this when booking but the hotel did not have any laundry, and that would have been nice to have since we stayed there a full week.

The room was HUGE and gorgeous. Plenty, plenty of room for 4 people - two teens and two adults. The views were really nice and the shower was fantastic. The food downstairs was good and my husband and I enjoyed evening drinks and morning coffee while the kids slept in. Downtown was only a few minutes away! Everyone who worked there was very friendly.

The level of cleanliness was okay. There was quite a bit of dust and the walls needs to be wiped where hands had been. The bottom of the trashcans were dirty. This is the only thing that would make me consider staying someplace else. Although it was downtown, it wasn't pretty right outside the hotel - it isn't surrounded by cafes or restaurants or anything.

The room location was excellent. I booked for a room with a view of the mountains and was given that after I explained that I did. No problem>

Breakfast(oatmeal) in hotel was cold. Initially put everything on top of oatmeal, gladly changed it and put items on the side. Waiter offered to warm oatmeal. He was cordial and pleasant. And took the meal off of my tab. Thank you!
