The Restoration Asheville

Everything was excellent. We loved the little basket every morning of goodies. The free drinks in the fridge were nice. All the staff was helpful and friendly especially Ahmed at the door. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large and comfy. The food and drink options were perfect in the hotel. The view from the hotel roof bar was fun. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. It is close to everything and we liked that it only had 60 rooms. Had amenities like a large hotel but had the warmth and attention to detail for a small hotel. We would stay they again. It was worth the money.

Everything!!! This was worth a splurge for my wife’s birthday! I only wish we could have stayed longer. The complimentary things this hotel gives is outstanding. We were pleasantly shocked. This hotel Is going to ruin my future hotel experiences because I doubt any others will stand out as much.

The only thing, but I do understand about, I wish they had gluten/dairy free combo for the breakfast basket, they only had either or. Many people who can’t tolerate one can’t tolerate the other (not as a fad but actual medical issues). As I said though I understand, the fact they had the basket in the first place was amazing. Still 5 stars easy!

The Restoration is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location is amazing…right in the heart of downtown Asheville. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful. It used to be a banking center; there’s a lot of exposed brick and dark wood which makes the space very exotic. There’s an awesome rooftop bar/restaurant, and an equally awesome bar/restaurant in the basement. And the staff!! Everyone was professional, courteous, helpful and personable. They obviously are highly focused on customer service. I had my small Maltese with me in her stroller, and she was welcomed everywhere. We loved this place!

The hotel is very new with welcoming staff and beautiful decorations. The room is spacious, clean and beautiful. I like the fact that there was a vanity table in addition to the bathroom mirror and a full-length floor mirror, which is great for us to get ready for a wedding. The staff was super welcoming and able to accommodate us for early check-in and late check-out. The location is great, which is walkable to multiple restaurants, boutique stores, bars, and galleries.

Nothing particular in my mind. I would definitely come back to the same hotel again if I visit Asheville.

Elijah at the front desk is the perfect ambassador for the hotel. He is professional and wonderfully personable. We were thrilled to receive the complimentary breakfast basket containing chocolate croissants, Greek yogurt, fruit and compostable utensils! The complimentary coffee was delicious. We very much enjoyed the Gilcrest & Soames line of toiletries, the fluffy soft linens and towels and the decor! My friend and I both forgot our toothpaste. Charlotte at the front desk was very helpful and brought us each a travel size kit containing a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss!

My friend and I came back from an event around midnight. The front door was locked and we couldn’t use our room key to get in despite the card reader. After a few minutes, someone came to the door to let us in, but we were not prepared to be locked out. I used to live in Asheville and am familiar with the area and vagrants who hang out in the park across the street. The front of the hotel is fairly dark and we did not feel safe. A hotel should be prepared for visitors coming and going at all times.

Besides being an incredibly beautiful hotel, the staff was top notch. They were all exceptional - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, etc. We loved having three restaurants / bars right on site. The rooftop bar was particularly awesome - great views, indoor / outdoor seating options. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect as everything we needed was within a short distance. We will absolutely visit again!

Wasn't thrilled with the bed. It was a bit uncomfortable (too soft) and seemed to have ridge in the middle. I woke up feeling like my back had been beating with a bat. I also wish the TV had more apps installed (YouTubeTV, HBO Max, etc) so that we could watch our nightly shows. Fortunately the TV had Tubi installed and I was thrilled to discover all 5 seasons of Miami Vice!

The property is in a great location for shopping, eating, drinking. The staff was helpful and nice. The rooms were clean and a good size. Nice touches like a social hour down in the lobby at 5:00 with wine, cheese, crackers, meats, and a basket with pastries and apples delivered to your door in the morning. Friday night there is a drum circle in the park across the street which was fun to watch.

The only thing that was a downside was that we had really noisy neighbors. I felt like the walls were kind of thin. Easy to hear noises.

Liked Everything! The front desk staff and guest curator, Jake, was exceptional. The room was clean and had the best of everything. Roof top bar has great views. The cellar bar has lots games, pinball machines , skee ball, Jenga and many more. Location was great. Breakfast baskets every morning, refrigerator packed with drinks, and optional snacks and alcohol mixers to purchase right in your room. Definitely will be visiting again and highly recommend everyone to stay here!

Phenomenal attention to detail. The hardware touches are beautiful. The rooms are huge and absolutely fantastic. We’ve been staying at Grove Park 4x a year for 13 years and have permanently switched to The Restoration. We even booked our holiday stay while there this past weekend. Wonderful staff, always on task and felt like family but at a 5 star level. The hotel is intimate yet expansive. We felt right at home. Great food too. Everything was over the top perfect.

10/10 would recommend this hotel. We were deciding between The Restoration and another one and I’m so glad we chose The Restoration. We had drinks and apps at the rooftop bar, dinner downstairs at The Exchange, and after dinner drinks at the basement speakeasy bar (in which the games kept our kids happy and entertained!) but all food, drinks, service, and gorgeous decor details throughout our stay impressed us. Will be back!
