Cambria Hotel Downtown Asheville

Cleanliness of the whole hotel is exceptional. Housekeeping is timely, thorough, and very friendly. Location is amazing - easy walk everywhere!! View of the mountains was great. Wish the building across the street didn't have such a huge, ugly tower. Parking attendants were speedy from the time you ask for the car until they are helping you load your things. Always ready with directions, suggestions, etc.

It's a minimalist hotel. Nice, but no where to hang a second towel or put your things in the shower. A place to put the suitcases other than the floor would have been nice.

Location was perfect. I'd give it a walkability score of 8 out of 10. We were in Room 1216, top floor We had beautiful mountain views. The front desk staff was great. A nice surprise for us was the afternoon champagne (free). They gladly gave refills. Nice touch. We ate breakfast twice at Hemingway's. DELICIOUS! Fabulous wait staff. Valet parking was great. Some people thought $17.00/day was steep, but you'd pay more feeding the meters. All in all, we'll be back.

Our only "gripe" was the lack of an ice machine on our floor (12th). We were told that they were located on the odd numbered floors. No big deal.

great touchless check in. We like to stay here for downtown location, and easy walking access to downtown shops and bars. Bed was very clean and comfy. Staff is efficient and willing to help.

I was surprised there was mold all along the shower stall seal... black mold.... WE liked this place because it seemed so nice and clean, but the mold made me question the cleanliness of the place..... put some bleach on it or replace it !!!!!!

We where charged twice for stay, sum of 975 dollars x 2. They returned back to our card the one charge in amount of 975. However we did not have availability to our funds for 3-5 days. We had to shorten trip and not go to Nashville due to this! Spoke to Assistant Manager and was rude blaming bank when clearly an issue with hotel! He stated “ glitches in system”. Called GM for property and filed complaint with corporate. Never hear back from Clarion hotel or GM. Very disappointed that no accountability taken. People work hard for vacations! This should not have happened or should have been rectified somehow!! Such a disappointment that a beautiful hotel doesn’t value or stand behind the customer! Filing with BBB if not resolved somehow! Unacceptable!

The location was great. It actually was in a part we had never walked or seen. It was in the heart of where we normally stay and close to one of our favorite spots we like to visit. When we walked into the hotel we were welcomed with smiling faces, The restaurants around it were nice and food was good. The room was nice, bed was comfy, but didn't like that the bed was in the middle of the room. I would say even though we paid for a mountain view, there was nothing special about it. The bathroom had an open shower with glass panel and Bluetooth mirror. I like how your room key was the only way you could use the elevator to get to your room. Overall it was good.

The things I didn't like was that the bed was in the middle of the floor, the restaurant closed too early and the valet parking. I would rather park my car and get in it myself.

The staff was friendly. I thought the complimentary champagne at check-in was a nice touch. They were able to accommodate me for early check-in at no additional charge. I had a corner room and the views were lovely. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I also liked the text message service they used to communicate prior to and during my stay to ask if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again!

This isn't necessary a dislike, but I did eat food at the restaurant and it was just okay. I had the chicken and rice and my plate had significantly more rice than chicken.

I paid extra for a view and was placed on the side of the hotel opposite the mountain view. My friends booked after me, did not oay for a view, and were placed one floor highwr facing the mountains with a great view.

Contemporary design is nice. I love the flooring in the rooms! Much cleaner than carpet. Comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and spacious. The location is great, right in downtown. A short drive to Biltmore. Complementary champagne is a lovely plus. Patio and restaurant have an excellent view. If you're a coffee drinker, bring k cups. Parking is a little odd because you must valet, but requesting your car is easy and our car was available quickly.

Parking is a bit pricey, but it's downtown so understandable. Valet is convenient, but tipping both ways can be a little much, especially since you're already paying to park. Bring cash for tips! I didn't bring cash and had to track down an ATM, then break bills.

The staff was great and the manager Derrick was very accommodating

My room was nice I was in town for three days on vacation with my wife my room was set up more for someone one a business trip it had one chair to sit in and a desk chair which was not very accommodating and this where the manager Derrick came in I spoke with him he told me there's nothing he could do that was the rooms lay out but he worked hard to fix the problem luckily someone cancelled and got me another chair great job Derrick 😀 my refrigerator was broke 🙁 which they swapped out from another room 😀 and they charged me to park at they're Hotel who does that 🤔🤔 and who only has a ice machines on every other floor and it's the odd floor and you guessed it I was on a even floor 😵‍💫

The hotel was situated withing walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants. The room was generously sized and the entire hotel had a new and secure feel to it. The valet service was always snappy bringing the car around.

Parking is not included in the cost of the room. Valet service is $17 and probable a better value than looking for a place on the street. The view from our room wasn't bad but it also wasn't the best, but at only $10 more per night I can hardly complain.
