Best Western Elyria

I like sausage, so breakfast on Saturday and Monday was fine (didn't have time on Sunday). The room was quite comfortable; I've been here before, so I knew what to expect. Staff were all congenial and helpful in face-to-face dealings.

I'd asked if there could be two luggage racks because it was going to be two people. Staff didn't provide a second one, nor did they explain why not (request was via email, not in person). Putting suitcases on the floor isn't that much fun for people age 60 and over (way over). So I can't possibly give BW Elyria a very high score this year. It's mitigated by them providing two chairs, which I had also requested. Also, Wifi is part of life now. No motel or hotel should scrimp on their router distribution: there should be so many routers throughout the building that NO ONE has Wifi problems. But it was quite slow, and kept rebooting. That's wrong - from the guest's point of view. It should be strong signal and uninterrupted.

The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. They had pretty decent and diversified offerings for breakfast, we are just not big breakfast eaters, but the coffee was really good. Staff was friendly.

We always struggle turning the water on/off in the bath/showers with the type of handles they have. It worked fine when we could figure it out, but we did leave the water dripping a little...

Rhonda at the breakfast!! She was so kind and helpful. She made sure everything was ready and filled. she showed us how to work the pancake machine. then thanked us as we were leaving. I asked for her name an told her I would say she was the best part of our stay.

the shower was hard to figure out / turn on and there rad till food in our refrigerator l from lively the last person who stayed. hot sauce and a Yengling 😂 the drawer would not stay closed

Impressive breakfast coming out of COVID restrictions. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean.

We were originally given key cards to a room that had not been cleaned. The manager said it had been marked as clean on her records. We were immediately given a new room. These things happen...no harm. Our new room was very clean. This can't be changed but having the bathroom sink outside of the stool/bath/shower area and in the room we found inconvenient. Some people may like it though.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive. Fully enjoyed the interaction and they treated us well. All our requests were fulfilled and dealt with in a good manner.

Bath area could have been a little larger (had to move into room to change clothes) and the swimming pool was closed due to leak, my granddaughter was extremely disappointed. I told her there was a pool and she could go swimming, needless to say that didn't happen.

Breakfast was good the first day - the 2nd day I arrived later (9:30) and most everything was gone but was still enough to eat. The 3rd day I left early so didn't get breakfast. The location wasn't as good as the hotel I usually stay at in Avon (closer to my son's home) but the price and breakfast were much better.

The room smelled a little stale when you first walked in (like it may have been a smoking room at one time) but other than that, it was all good.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, comfortable pillows. The breakfast was good, I loved the bacon.

No tissues in the room. The first room they placed us in had been smoked in and was very disgusting. They finally placed us in a different room after my friend went down to the lobby and asked where they were going to move us.

Very nice breakfast. Offered scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and sausage. Also offered a variety of cold food — cereal, yogurt, etc. Pleasant eating area. Also, room had a nice massage shower with shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers as well as retractable clothesline in tub area. Very helpful.

Pool area looked a little worn.

We were on a 2 week vacation, and stayed one night at many different motels/ hotels, and the best western in Elyria beat all the others, hands down. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, the place was very clean, and our room smelled so good, and it was nice and roomy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we slept so good there. We try to stay at places that have hot breakfasts, but since covid has been around, of course they have gone to a pack and go or you get nothing, and that i can undersstand, but they had a full hot breakfast, with the full buffet, and many people were commenting about how wonderful it was to have such a great breakfast, while we were in the breakfast room. And, the price of the room was so cheap, that i was amazed at how great it was. We travel quite a lot, and i will be staying at the best western, but it will be in other towns, so im hoping they all are operating as well as the one in Elyria, because we were impressed!!!!

Absolutely nothing-it was Fantastic!~~!

The breakfast was good, well prepared and they checked to make sure it was hot and fresh. We especially appreciated the kindness of the clerk that worked the day shift. She was always welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Because the Hotel is not large it made for a more peaceful environment.

Covid has taken a toll on all businesses so it was understandable that staffing was short and I guess because staffing was short there was a shortage of fresh linen.
