Inn at Haystack Rock

Proximity to the beach was excellent. Room was very clean. Convenient little kitchenette for quick meals.

I wish the front desk had told us where the designated dog areas are. There were dog stations for waste but signs posted on the grass right next to those stations saying no poop or pee on the grass. very confusing. Some amenities were out of order. TV was difficult to navigate and the WIFI was not very good. Bed was uncomfortable and wobbly, the linens, although clean, had an old smell to them like they had been in the closet too long.

The space is well planned out, everything needed for kitchen and stay was readily available. super clean, the properties are private enough. Great location! Walking distance of downtown, the beach, etc in less than 10min! Lots to do, see, and, eat at Canyon Beach. The courtyard has fire pits and even beach toys for the littles!!

Unloading was a bit of a hassle with luggage for a week long trip!

Very clean and the staff was very helpful. The folks that clean the rooms were very accommodating and got extra towels and blankets when we asked and were just super nice. I will definitely stay there again. Very cozy rooms and the shower water pressure was awesome! Very close to the beach path, easy to get there. We were very happy here.

The neighbors next to us blared thier music until midnight and the walls are thin so we could hear them talking. It worked out after I banged on the wall though. That really isn't any of the hotel's fault at all. Just inconsiderate neighbors.

It thought of everything; fridge, coffee, sewing kit, paper towels, house coat, fans, extra blankets & pillows. The beds were good and so were the showers. I loved the super short walk from the door to the water and the shops were close enough to walk to. The staff was also great. you can even buy their mugs.

The only complaint I can think of is that we had 6 people staying in the lager room and were using the pull out couch as well as the upstairs rooms and they only had enough towels for the people staying in the rooms up stairs, but they were amazingly fast when we called to request more so it’s not really a negative thing.

The use of chlorine was way too much! I had to open all the windows to air out on a chilly rainy afternoon. There is no obvious grass patch for dog potty. The hand lotion is very harsh on hand. Maybe some emergency first aid kit or aspirin in stock at the front desk. I needed some as I sprained my ankle but the front desk didn't have it.

The cottage was amazing. It was so spacious. I loved the jetted tub. The fireplace was nice. Everything was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. I was very much impressed.

The bed was upstairs and it was very warm. We slept on the pull out sofa downstairs but that was fine. It was still comfortable. The first lady at the desk I tried to talk to was rude. She was there at three. I tried to check in early. She interrupted me repeatedly and was not nice At All. The young lady who actually checked me in after four was very gracious and friendly.

Coastal perfect and quiet but close to everything in Cannon Beach. Rooms were relaxing and very nice with spa tubs. Decor was tasteful and kitchenette well appointed. Liked they allow dogs (even if I did not know at time and will bring next time to save on boarding costs plus include in my family)

Not having coffee set ups for drip coffee filters - I had to go to store right away to get ground coffee and more filters. There were K Cups in the room and might have been oversight but there was 1 regular filter pack and 1 decafs with a few tea bags. Would be nice to have a wider coffee selection at arrival in the room but this is minor call out. It’s my peeve since I like to drink coffee and walk on beach or sit at sunset with one in hand right away.

during check out I came during office hours and no one was there to take keys or give a final bill. staff still hasn’t called me back to let me know my check out was successful and they got the keys in the drop box. also the property is in three different locations / set of properties along the road so I wish their map and directions were more helpful when you first get in. also wasn’t prepared for the rooms having no heat but it’s a cottage so I guess it’s not a huge deal just something to keep in mind if you visit cannon beach in the winter.

Complimentary delicious local coffee, jacuzzi tub with skylight, friendly staff, dog friendly, amazing location, very clean, gas fireplace - this was the perfect mini vacation for us, a couple with a small dog

Just a suggestion - a fan to circulate air in the bedroom and provide some white noise, because I imagine in summer it could get very warm. We had to have the window open even though it was cool outside

Location is within walking distance of downtown and the area was quite. Value was great and the bed was comfortable.

I tried checking in about an hour early and they told me the room wasn’t ready, which I understand. However she told me that she would message me when it was ready but she didn’t and I just checked in at 4pm. Also parking is tight so if you get a spot don’t move, just walk to wherever you need to go.
