Hi Tide Oceanfront Inn

The room was great and had stunning view of the ocean. There was some sort of volleyball tournament going on which contributed to mass activity along the beach. Exciting and fun. The first two days we were there the ocean water was very cold. The third day the water was much warmer and I was able to venture into the water near the bigger waves. We go to Laguna in the summers, which was the first place I ever lived in a home pretty much on top of the sand, and spend all day in the water and walking around the streets so I like the ocean water to be warm enough to stay in, not arctic cold. Bottom line is the hotel was great and Seaside is an attractive little town.

Breakfasts could be a bit better featuring eggs, sausage, pancakes, or some such items. Bagels and yogurt doesn't satisfy me, however, they have really good cookies every night and coffee always available. There is a really nice heated pool and jacuzzi both very comfortably warm and quite awesome after coming from the ocean.

Really liked the section of beach in front of the property, as well as the location of the hotel itself. Nice touches such as good quality hot coffee always available in the lobby, saltwater taffy available as well as fresh cookies at a certain time. The room had old harvest gold fixtures in the bathroom, so that may be a problem for some of you, but I found them quaint, and they were in good repair and exceptionally clean-good job on the cleaning staff!

As we visited during the peak of the clamming season, parking could be a little hit or miss, particularly in the early morning.

The location was perfect. Our windows looked out to the ocean and the promenade. The room was spacious and the facilities were all fine. Like other reviewers said, the hotel must be really old, and it was noticeable, but it was all functional and clean, so I have no reason to complain about that. The staff was excellent, very friendly.

We went there to escape a heatwave and have some fun time by the ocean, except the heatwave somehow reached the ocean shore area. So no air conditioner was seriously a problem. There was a fan in the room tho. Second big problem- no screen on the balcony door. We could certainly have a better sleep time if we could keep the big balcony door open. But no screen made it impossible. We also noticed that other rooms in the building had screen doors. I guess that is what you get booking last moment. We were lucky there was anything available with the ocean view at this time.

I made a reservation for a partial view room, as we aren't usually in the room much, we are out enjoying the sites. Our room was on the bottom floor overlooking the ocean. It was an amazing surprise. The room was well appointed and very roomy. with a small stove and sink. The check in was quick with incredibly nice staff in the office. They answered all of our questions and went above and beyond for anything we asked for. Breakfast was a continental breakfast, which was typical. We drove to Camp 18 for breakfast, which was amazing! The pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing. We stayed at the Best Western last year, but will be staying here from now on. The Best Western was a tiny room, more expensive and a further walk to the Seaside main street. Great stay!

We liked everything!

I loved the view from our room it was amazing and everything was so clean, I liked that they had a vending machine and ice machine on the property very close to our room. there was a pool and hot tub that were really nice and they provided towels. if you’re staying for multiple night room service will clean up your room but if you preferred them not to you can put up a do not disturb sign. front desk was super nice and helpful. really close to the beach also just a few steps out of the complex and you’re there and they also had a foot rinsing spot on the side of the building. super close to all the fun stuff and restaurants but also felt very private and not too busy.

I would only say the bathroom needs a bit of an update but it wasn’t a problem at all.

This place is Basic, yet perfect. The location is excellent. The staff amazing. It's an older establishment so if you want upscale and deluxe, look elsewhere. Yet if you want everything needed in a great location this is the place. It has kitchenettes, to make your stay more economical. Indoor pool and hot tub. You can borrow games and dvds. Had a decent breakfast included warm cookies in the evening. We will definitely stay here again. . Oh and the toiletries smell so good!

It has some idiosyncrasies- the door locks at times don't work on the first try. It's got older fixtures, funky colors and some paint maintenance needed. But really all functional.

Fantastic location. Quiet beach access, got given a room with a partial view for no additional cost, and it was super comfortable. The room was very incredibly retro but charming and clean. Staff was friendly and laid back but still professional. One of the guys (sadly forgot his name but drives a modified Subaru) liked my car so that was neat. Ample parking was a bonus.

My only gripe was the walls were kinda thin so I could hear one of the staff members leaving or move his car - but honestly it was during times we were awake so it wasn't a big deal. Kinda wish it had a/c instead of a fan but the window opened.

The hotel is right at the beach and very close to the city center (we could have walked, but it was raining, so we drove for like 3-5 mins). The staff was super friendly and I believe they upgraded us and did not even mention that! Nowadays, when everything is about (annoying) marketing and promotion, this is amazing! The building is old, but the room was very clean - in fact, one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Hit tub and pool were nice, especially during the rainy day when we were there :) In general, the hotel is simple and as I said it is old, but it is very clean and cozy - the price/quality ratio is awesome!

While some elements were not updated, you can tell they made improvements where they could and you can tell this property is cared about by staff. The room was clean. Linens were crisp. Carpet was updated. Cute touch with cookies in the lobby at 6. Staff was great!

Bathroom and pool area are dated but again, clean and cosmetically some things were done to make it more current. It would be nice to have adults only 9pm in the pool. It was nearly 10pm and kids were jumping in the pool and spa and screaming. Was not relaxing.

The staff did a great job setting up the room for the 'honeymoon mood.' My husband was really impressed and talked about it a lot. I like most everything about our stay.

Well, Everything was really quite perfect. Everything clean, the cleaning service took care not to touch our things. The shower curtain was missing a button and the rod could be replaced plus the door could use a completed painting. I really loved our stay, tho' and would like to come back...it is our 2nd time there and this time we celebrated 31-years together! Thank you for being a great part of our lives!
