Plainview Motel

Clean rooms, well organized and spacious. Comfortable beds and large kitchen with adequate utensils and appliances. The design by Sketch on the outer buildings was very pleasing and interesting. Carport was a bonus.

The oven wasn't clean which made it smoke and set off the alarms. At least, the smoke alarms worked! The wall between the units is very thin and we could hear the neighbors, which were loud one night, but the following night was OK.

Oh my gosh. This place is so clean! The bedding (I usually bring my own but did not use it here) was very, very nice (and did not have the smell/feel of too much detergent, like many places. It is an old motel but very well kept. The person who checked me in is very pleasant. It is close to the highway (separated by the parking and a berm) but the noise wasn't bothersome. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Very comfy room, a nice little kitchenette. Great location just across the street from beach access. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. All around just an easy, happy place to stay.

Super picky people who don't like RV/van life might be put off by the RV park that is part of the property, and the general funky beachy vibe. They should probably just leave great places like this to the rest of us.

This room was incredible. The view was stunning I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a getaway trip with someone special. I will be coming to this exact spot again.

I didn't like how you had to check in at an rv park/motel. kinda throws you off at first but the lady gave us a piece of paper with directions with the wrong road but we ended up finding the room. has a very small drive way and can't really turn around especially since there are two rooms which means other peoples vehicles are there.

The two story condo is what we booked and shared with another couple upstairs. It was perfect for us all traveling through after a long day of driving. We all had dinner in one unit and were able to wash up some clothes for the rest of our road trip. Great quiet spot off the road and with a view of the bay.

The oven did not work in our unit.

The upstairs chalet on the water was fabulous! Blew our mind when we got there! Gorgeous views quaint little apartment with everything we needed! Perfect for an affordable weekend getaway (and we had almost lost hope there was such a thing!)! The staff was amazingly helpful with our super late check-in time!!

The chairs on the balcony were a little large to maneuver around, but awesome that you had a place to sit down out there! Could use with some new bed linens.

Very easy check in, easy to find, super accommodating staff, room had all the necessities.

A but noisy because it was close to the road, wish we could have slept with our windows open, but the noise was too much.

Wonderful hotel room. This place had all the touches to make you feel at home in this cozy room. Full mini kitchen stocked up with all the cutlery and cooking tools you need. The room was very clean and quiet. They have crabbing and clamming equipment on site to borrow for the day if you so desire free of charge. Just across the street you can take a forest trail for 5 minutes and end up on a picturesque beach. Coos Bay is also a short jaunt away. Great place would certainly stay here again. I rented the double queen room with a kitchenette.

Bathroom was very cramped. Toilet stool was in a corner and very hard to use. Fairly new looking remodel but adding the kitchenette really impacts the size and use of the bathroom. It wouldn't keep me from staying again though.

Our room was extremely clean. I was surprised to note that it appears that the bed covers were even washed as evidenced by their fresh smell. That means a lot to me in terms of sanitation and cleanliness. We loved that there was a kitchenette that was perfectly well stocked cooking utensils for the couple of days we were there. The ceiling fan helped us to stay cool at night and there were plenty of drawers to unpack if we wanted to. While there was a lot of traffic just outside of our window, the double paned windows took care of practically all of the noise. We had two very restful nights thanks to the quiet and the comfortable mattress. We are HomeExchangers and as such have traveled quite a bit. Plainview Motel was perfectly comfortable for us. The only drawback to this room was the lack of space in front of the toilet which didn’t allow very much room at all for the legs. We have already figured out that room nine bathroom is just fine. (We stayed in room eight.) We loved that it was so close to Shore Acres Park and gardens. What a beautiful hike we had!

More space is needed in front of the toilet.
