as others have said breakfast was good alternated between scrambled eggs and mini cheese omelets every other day. beds were firmer than home and I slept better hubby not so much. edge of Government Camp 15 minutes to Timberline Lodge.

no house keeping even after requested. I watch night shift put in the request for trash dump, and towels, came back to no service. Nightshift was kind enough to get us what was needed and came up to take away trash and towels and give some extra tp.

Breakfast was fine and there were free snacks and hit drinks available all day. The guest laundry facility was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel was located next door to the Mount Hood Brewing Company which serves great food and beers, and there were also plenty of excellent hikes close by.

No room service at all for three days - would have been good for at least bins to be emptied each day.

Loved the location to Mt. Hood and walking distance to some great restaurants, especially Mt. Hood Brewing Co. next door to the hotel. The staff was super helpful and gave great suggestions for hiking & dinner.

A little too close to the roadway, but, honestly, the room fan/ac unit served as great white noice and we slept just fine.

the property was perfectly located on my route, I was hiking around the Mt. Hood area. the laundry facilities are good. the beds are comfortable and there’s a restaurant right across the street. the breakfast was really good

the sheets felt a bit weird, like they hadn’t been replaced in a while, it felt like the sheets were pilling. there was a single employee that really had a bad attitude and acted like he couldn’t be bothered when I asked about the laundry facilities

the provided breakfast was excellent. The space for the breakfast is in the lobby, not a separate room. Given the number of guests, the number of tables provided for breakfast could have been greater, but the space for such is inadequate, They are doing the best they can with the available space, and it worked out ok.

The General Manager was fantastic and very helpful during my 4-night stay. The hotel was still under COVID-restrictions so I couldn't us the Fitness Center or Spa until the last day when the restrictions were removed. Breakfast was bagged as the hot breakfast was not allowed, but at least they had something to grab before hitting the trail. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable.

The only shortcomings were due to COVID-restrictions but nothing anyone could do about that. Dining options in Government Camp are very limited, and places are closed or have reduced hours because staffing seems to be an issue. It is worth the 10-minute drive to Timberline Lodge for breakfast and lunch. A couple restaurant options in GC for dinner but check ahead as days/hours of operation are sporadic.

Good breakfast w/ assorted variety to fill you up. Good location, close to mountain ski resorts. Walk across parking lot to Brew Pub was the most convenient thing.

I like to bring my bagged snowboard inside room but was not allowed. The walls are paper thin. You can here everything going on next door.

Best Western hotel, Government Camp, Mt Hood. (I stayed 1 night while on a long solo bike tour). I enjoyed my stay. At $169+tax, it was more expensive than my usual hotel, but it was the cheapest place available in this upscale resort village. Pros: Very good service. Staff had excellent PR skills. The manager Paul checked me in 3 hours early, so I could get caught up on my washing etc. Very spacious, well-appointed room #217. Beautiful modern furniture, too much so for a tour cyclist like me! Large comfortable couch. Comfortable bed and linens. Good heater. Excellent hot shower. View onto the forest. Peaceful. Tasty decaf and regular coffee in lobby.

Cons: internet was marginal (5 Mbps). This was OK in the afternoon, but it became very slow in the evening. The coffee maker lacked a carafe and hot plate, so one could only make a single 8 oz paper cup of coffee. No way to keep it warm. Such a cheap coffee maker was not in keeping with my upscale room. (My Motel 6 in Dalles had a much nicer coffee maker, with 4-cup carafe and hot plate, and 50 Mbps internet.). The small refrigerator was cumbersome to access: one had to open a cabinet door, with hinge on left, then open the refrig door, with hinge on right. Hinges should be on the same side. Preferably, remove the cabinet door. No bikes allowed in room. Bikes were locked in conference room, 1 floor down. (I understand why this is so. My room was immaculate, and expensively furnished).

I had finished my morning hike a little bit earlier than anticipated due to fallen trees. Paul was able to accommodate me a little sooner than the check in time and I was VERY grateful as I was in need of a hot shower. The hot water was instant! They also still have coffee pots in the rooms and as an early riser (3am) I was happy to see this!! I couldn't eat the breakfast due to my wheat intolerance - however the woman behind the counter the next morning did have some fruit on had and it was super sweet. I had originally picked this place because it was close to the two hiking areas I went to and the Mt. Hood Brewery is right next door. Alas, they brewery doesn't open until Thursday. The rooms were clean and tidy.

The location is superb - at 3900 ft, good for acclimating to elevation before going on to 6900 ft at Timberline Lodge. It is right on the highway, easy to find. And there is a brewery with excellent food next door.

I can't think of anything.
