Columbia Gorge Inn

It's well located for easy walking within Cascade Locks. The usual hotel amenities worked well. You have guest laundry after 6pm. There is a language barrier with the staff but once they understand they are very helpful.

The bathroom is European style meaning there is a flat floor (no lip) between the shower and toilet. Once you shower the entire floor is wet. Not exactly nice if you have to use the toilet later.

The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. The air conditioner worked great and kept our room very comfortable.

The bathroom was interesting. The shower and toilet were together. Ingenious idea, but with only a shower curtain between the two, it was cramped in the shower. If the bathroom was just 2 feet wider, it would create more room in the shower.

Room was large, with a couch to sit and watch television. Television screen was large.

Odd design for bathroom. There was no tub or shower enclosure. The entire bathroom was tiled (like a shower) with a curtain separating the toilet from the shower fixtures. A 1 inch ledge at the doorway prevented water from flowing under the doir.

The location was perfect and the room had ample space for two with comfy bed and facilities. Good clean accomodation, good service desk, all as expected.

The back of the building, which was where we entered our room, was somewhat seedy which gave me pause. A woman was slumped asleep in a chair outside a room; she looked homeless. But everyone was very nice, the sleeping woman vanished and all other guests were very nice.

I really like the manager, she’s super friendly and accommodating. Always nice. We have stay here multiple times for girls weekend. Great location and price is very reasonable it leaves more money for shopping. 😊

It’s not fancy, and doesn’t have much in way of toiletries, sometimes it has a musty smell but it’s an old hotel. They could use some new mattresses or have better mattress covers so you don’t see how they need to be replaced. Carpets could use a good cleaning and the nightstand and tables weren’t cleaned off from the last persons stay. I will still stay here in the future, I will just bring wipes and also let management know if I see it again.

Don't judge a book by its cover! Doesn't look so good on the outside but inside was a different story! Room was great, clean, up to date and they had free laundry! A thru hiker couldn't ask for anything better.

Outside the inn does not look good which could scare people off. 1st impressions is everything.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They laundered my hiking clothes within an hour, at no charge. The room was super clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike. If I came back to Cascade Locks, I would stay here again.

This was an excellent location for hiking, especially the Eagle Creek trail just a few minutes away and other hikes on the Washington side. Contrary to the other reviews, I actually liked the bathroom. It's a Vietnamese-style bathroom with the shower and toilet. The sink counter with the mirror is in the room (instead of inside the bathroom). Me and my wife have found this design practical.

The location was great. Central to lots of hikes nearby. There were 2 restaurants across the street. It was really quiet. Clean and comfortable. The bathroom was odd. But functional with great water pressure and heat.

Extremely friendly staff. Very clean & spacious room with great TV channel options. Comfy bed. Loved the old charm appeal. Wonderful parking lot. Good location to area attractions.
