The views from the lodge were too good, especially if you got a room on the river side. The outdoor lawn in front of the hotel is a great place to hang out with family and kids. There are many recreation opportunities around the lodge and we really enjoyed the quiet time in the forest. The pool was a plus and the food in the lodge restaurant was good too.

The corridors outside of the room did not have air conditioning and so on hot days these common spaces felt a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant can get super busy - be prepared to wait for your tables even if you have a reservation. Items in the lodge gift shop were ridiculously priced so come in with snacks if you don't want to get ripped off. The bathrooms are a bit dated and require updates.

Room was fancy, clean and spacy, View from the lounge area. Lounge area and bar area with fireplaces (that were actually working) Got a little bag with dog goodies. Nice restaurant / bar. Very friendly personnel. Swimming pool (heated) and outside hot tub with a view are great

Our room was in the first floor and had a view on the parking lot. We even had to close the blinds to prevent people from looking into the room. (while we hoped to get a great view on the river or forest if one books an expensive room in a remote lodge....) Also there was no buffet breakfast on the Saturday morning (while hotel had enough (about 200) guests !! We were not informed about this (they even told us the evening before it was an option..). very disappointing as we had to take the alla carte with high prices and small sizes.... There are no hiking trails that start at the lodge (only 1 or 2 small (not very interesting) hikes around the golf..)

The property, the location that was central to day trips, the friendly and helpful staff, the restaurant, our room, our bed, and the invigorating shower, plus a first: dimmer switches on all the lighting in the room! Most of all the view, the grounds, people watching, plus the beautiful grounds for families and friends taking advantage of a variety of games available to them. Our last night there was spent outside enjoying our meal and the glorious afterglow from the sunset that followed.

The only disappointment was the Father's Day Buffet. We arrived toward the end, however, there were still a significant number of people going through the line. The food was barely warm or even cold and in short supply. Disappointing for the price. However, I must add that all other meals in both restaurants were wonderful. As was the staff who served us.

The staff was just incredible and fun. Not just stiff and professional. The best girls weekend in a long time.

The only complaint us girls had was the food. The fine dining was mainly seafood with not too many options of other dishes for allergies, the lounge was beautiful but for the price the food was not that great. One exception. I don't drink, ill get a mocktail here and there. This place has the best beyond cocktail options I've ever tasted. Those are incredible.

The property was beautifully laid out. Golf course was very fun to play. Hiking trails were beautifu were beautifully maintained as well as the golf course. The large front common room brings in lots of light and is a wonderful sitting area with views of the River and mountain. Restaurants were good we ate at all 3. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Our room we were given, had a towel lying on the floor with a large very wet spot. We returned to the front desk and there was only one room available on the first floor. There was no overhead lighting and the lamps did not provide enough light. The view we had was a beautiful tree covered forest. The toilet seat moves around and needs to be tightened. Shower was great. Towels and linens were great.

Fantastic views and setting. Food in the restaurant is good.

Spa, including pool, was having repairs so not available during the day. Was supposed to open at 5 but workmen were not done. I gave up. When the email came about the closure I wrote to customer service asking what they were doing to compensate visitors and got no reply. So when I checked in I asked again and they took off the resort fee which I appreciated. But they should have offered that to everyone up front.

Location, amazing, I didn't even know it was there, gorgeous hotel and surrounding area. I look forward to coming back and experiencing more of the resort area, we just didn't have the time. The salt water pool was the perfect temp 85 or 86 degrees, yes! Really wanted to do the hikes and biking in the area. I think they may have bike check out but not sure.

Didn't know we needed to book 1-2 weeks ahead for ziplining so we missed out. Breakfast...$50 for two for mediocre food- um, not that impressed with this. Also, if you don't catch food before the 1 restaurant closes, there is nothing in the area and your skinny kid will be hungry and you will be worried about them. "Pretzles and apples for dinner, kid." I have a kid that eats at weird intervals and this was an issue and tough after a long hike and traveling that day. A small market with a microwavable burrito would have been better than nothing. The outdoor hot tub jets look like they need repairing, they shoot straight up and the pool as a little disgusting around the rim and needs a good scrubbing.

The location is fabulous,as are the grounds and the lodge. Staff was very helpful. We we’re given complimentary breakfast, upgrade and waiver of amenity fee because all pool facilities were under renovation from mid-September until at least mid-November, which booking.com did not mention at all when we booked our two-day stay. The staff complained that they had contacted booking several times about this. Still, incoming patrons had no idea and the reception staff felt really awkward about having to deal with the fallout. The lady at the reception solved the problem elegantly and made our stay memorable nonetheless.

nothing, except the poor communication by booking.com

Breakfast was delicious, but would have loved it if it was included in the price with the amount they were charging for the rooms. Or else I'd have gone to best western that was just over the bridge. Apparently it was only part of there packages, which I think was ridiculous

It was beautiful, there wasn't much I didn't like. Prices could just be a little more decent for basic stays

Great location, the Gorge is beautiful! But with so many things to do at the Lodge, we actually didn’t end up venturing out as much as we thought we would! Our 2 year old loved the playground and the front lawn space to run and play lawn games. Our teenagers (12, 14) loved the ziplining and axe throwing. We also did the ropes course, the mini golf course and hiked the Lake Loop trail to find the Baby Bigfoots (scavenger hunt, neat idea!) All great funtivities! Rooms were clean, beds comfy and good water pressure - nice upkeep for being an older building. There were a lot of events going on while we were there - two weddings and a classic car market - but the property seemed well equipped to fit everyone and we never felt like anything was crowded or packed.

The food…. yikes. Not sure if there was some turnover in staff or something else going on, but it seemed every meal we had at either the Cascade Dining Room or River Rock Restaurant at least one of our meals was just inedible (raw, burnt, overcooked or the wrong order all together). There were limited options in Stevenson, especially for breakfast, so we were kind of stuck. The serving staff was nice and apologetic but after four days of bad meals we were glad to be back to home cooking. Also, the Lodge a/c was busted the first couple days of our stay but thankfully the room a/c worked so we were comfortable at night.
