Inn at the Gorge0

The owner and host of Inn at the Gorge, Michael, was very friendly and personable. We started off our morning with coffee and a delicious breakfast, and Michael shared sights for us to explore, as well as nearby restaurants. He told us about a hike to a waterfall across the Columbia River that was fabulous. We enjoyed staying at the inn, and with only 6 rooms, it had a cozy feel. There was a lovely front porch, and the location in Hood River, Oregon was perfect. It was a wonderful place to stay, and a beautiful city to visit.

For breakfast, the parfait & crepes were truly outstanding - flavorful with great textures. The staff & other guests were fun to talk to, and there was a welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed reading & conversing on the front deck. My wife and I mostly walked to our destinations, and we enjoyed the proximity to downtown.

The omelette & frittata were fine, but not excellent. Our bed was also a bit less comfortable than I had hoped.

the location and the very good staff. Michael the owner cooked a fantastic breakfast for us with everything you could want, all included in price. he also recommended things to do while we were in Hood river.

it was mostly good, but if you’re not used to B+B vacations some people might not like how close you are to other guests. ie: not much privacy. However it didn’t spoil it for us.

Staff were extremely helpful. Room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!

It is a great place but if I am being very critical here are some comments. The view from our room was the parking lot. The lights were bright in the windows all night but the drapes did help. If you are walking, the inn is up a steep hill from the town where all the restaurants are.

I did not opt to pre-order the breakfast, but from what I saw it looked great.

The key to my room was very difficult to move in the lock, and as a result I was unable to lock my door when I went out for dinner. Also, the bathroom assigned to my room was down the hall. No one else used it but me, but having to leave my room to shower was a little inconvenient.

We appreciated the proactive communication via text messages from the staff leading up to our arrival. The room was very comfortable and clean. And the breakfast surpassed our expectations with seasonal mushrooms, delicious homemade biscuits, and perfectly made coffees. We will be back for sure, best place to stay in Hood River.

We stayed at the Terrace Room and had an all around great experience. The room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed (e.g. fridge/freezer, coffee maker). It has a small private patio which was great spot for having a glass of wine in the evening. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served on a small terrace right next to our private patio.

Some may feel the location is a little far from downtown Hood River. Depending on where you want to go it's ~1 mile or so. For us it just made for a nice stroll, so we didn't really mind it.

gorgeous property, we loved our Suite. breakfast was amazing!! homemade granola and yogurt followed by a salmon crepe with dill sauce- I’ve never had a better crepe! Michael( the host /chef) is lovely and genuinely interested in your travel plans and a font of great local advice. Will return!!

Nice, small Bed and Breakfast in Hood River, within walking distance to the center portion of the town. My room was large and comfy on the ground floor, with a dedicated bathroom down the hallway. The owner was away when I was there, but the substitute guys (The "Gold-Inn Boys") were personable, experienced, and good cooks. Pretty lights and decorating. There was parking on site.

The location was nice and there was even a decent view from the porch. we liked the old school style and modern features. bar soap was awesome and the coffee was good. The staff was very nice and breakfast was good!

The hot tub needed to be cleaned. we would have hopped in but I was a bit dirty.
