Silver Cloud Hotel - Portland

This Silver Cloud is in an excellent area of Portland that is a lovely to walk around. The parking garage is just outside the front door, which is highly convenient. As soon as you drive in to the garage you are already in the hotel. There is a very nice restaurant adjacent to the lobby, if you don't feel like availing of the local fair. Pro tip: turn left when you exit the hotel property and you will pass some hidden gen restaurants.

No gym, but they will deliver some weights to your room. I just go for a run. There are some nice loops depending on the distance you want.

best location ever! beautiful neighbourhood, safe, full of restaurants. so much better than staying downtown. the staff is amazing, everyone is very polite, friendly and helpful. the rooms are very spacious, the bed is really big and comfortable. the dark curtains provide great sleep quality, which is often a problem at hotels. free parking is a big plus. overall an amazing stay and part of a lifetime experience trip for us! thank you for making it unforgettable

stayed 5 nights as a base to explore Portland and the surroundings. Near to the freeway. near to so many great restaurants. room was spacious and very quiet. really appreciated the free washer / dryer as we could have clean laundry every day after hiking.

the bathroom lights would switch off automatically when it gets too hot, which occasionally leaves us in the dark while showering. had a coffee mug with dried food still in it. one of the sinks was a bit clogged.

Great location out of downtown but convenient to downtown. I was there to go to OHSU, and it was easy to get to. Beds were very comfortable. Check in staff was courteous. Small restaurant on site that with great food and staff. Liked that restaurant was there because of our long drive, so it made it very convenient. Very quiet at night which was a HUGE plus. I would stay here again, no question.

Only downside the in-room refrigerator was a bit noisy, but we were glad it was there.

it’s a weird thing to say but my husband was put off that one of the toilet paper holders was empty - made him wonder if they thought people would steal the extra one. It effected how he felt about the room. I only say it because sometimes it’s the little things. Bedding was pretty light but there was a blanket in the closet. Small love seat instead of couch.

such great staff and delicious breakfast. Mike catered to my allergy needs happily and squeezed fresh orange juice for the diners. the front desk came outside to find me when I couldn’t find the parking garage entrance and led me in. the room and hotel in general were nice and quiet, got a great nights sleep. rooms were nicely appointed and super clean. convenient bus stop right outside to go wherever you want in downtown Portland. also not too many sketchy people around like other parts of Portland these days.

a little further than I realized from the “fun stuff” in Portland but I got a better stay because of that I think. also the parking lot was super tight; it was a miracle I was able to park my work truck in there!

Great location for our purposes - very walkable neighborhood and fun restaurants, coffee shops and eclectic retail. The hotel looks like its photos - very attractive decor/setting and well-maintained. Very quiet too. Good menu selections in the restaurant as well. Nice parking ramp too - as local parking is hard to come by.

Location, Staff was very. Kind and professional. The hotel was clean and quiet. They upgraded our room from a king to a king suite, this was done for no reason other than to be kind. this room was amazing. The bed was very comfortable it was like my bed at home. We were able to park our vehicle to where we could see it out our room window and it was free parking.

I have no complaints this was a good pick.

I love the new cafe and bar in the lobby. it’s a terrific upgrade to the property with a sophisticated menu of flavors and ingredients with a range of high and low style. Burgers and a steak or a triple cut pork chop. they offer big salads and all the side dishes you’d expect like Mac and cheese. Hearty egg dishes as well as yogurt with granola. You can find something to eat here — and drink. it’s a full bar with special cocktails, wine in a generous pour by the glass or bottle. We stayed for a week and ordered something everyday at different times and were never disappointed. The room service menu is fine and the delivery is quick.

I have nothing to complain about the silver cloud. it’s a great value in a neighborhood that’s fun for us.

Check-in was really efficient, and the staff were very welcoming. Everything was bright and cheerful in the lobby area. I appreciated that self- off-street parking was included in the rate. The room amenities were great, particularly the charging stations on both nightstands and the Aveda products. The room also was very dark, perfect for sleeping. Location can't be beat.
