The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful! They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and to make me feel better & more relaxed after my luggage didn't arrive on my flight. Really appreciated their help & support!

I hadn't quite expected the level of homelessness so close to the hotel, though I realise it's a problem all across downtown just seems particularly bad near old town. Once I got used to the city, it was great & good location to access downtown / main central city. Just felt a bit wary at night, wasn't comfortable walking alone.

The hotel is beautifully designed and staff very very friendly and helpful.

Sadly ( and this isn’t any fault of the hotel) the homelessness situation Downtown is just so upsetting and the hotel is situated in a particularly bad area. It felt quite dangerous to go out with the children particularly at night. It was very disturbing to see how desperate the situation has got and we were encouraged to see that the hotel were running a few things to support homelessness. We really hope that the owners of the Hoxton hotel group try to push the local government / councillors to urge some immediate action to help these poor people. We had heard that Portland and many American cities had a big problem but to see it first hand was very distressing.

The hotel was great. Great room size, beds were comfortable, coffee shop on site, as well as coffee and tea offered in room. Most of the staff was excellent and helpful as well.

The first night the staff was not very happy, nor helpful. Also, driving to the hotel, we realized the location was not safe at night. There was another family that was thinking of leaving for the same reason, that evening. We knew that Portland had some issues, but this was shocking and did not feel like a place I wanted to stay. We considered leaving and taking a loss for our entire stay.

The Hoxton is a lovely hotel, with wonderful staff who are consistently kind, considerate and helpful [with a special shout out to the Manager who really put the hours in] and beautiful, stylish rooms and interiors.

Location is great, with lots of things in walking distance, however, Portland has a bad drugs problem at the moment and it made me wary to walk too far in Portland. It is, however, in easy distance to lots of great places and you are safe. Staff and security on the door also very vilgilent. Fruit on the breakfast menu would have been appreciated.,

The hotel staff are wonderful, and couldn't have done more for us. The decor of the hotel, including the room, was lovely. The room was a nice size and well appointed. Being on the 8th floor gave us a cool view. The bathroom had plenty of hooks, which is always appreciated. The coffee bar downstairs was awesome. We didn't get to try the rooftop bar, but I look forward to checking it out, as well as the new speakeasy, on our next visit!

Very minor issue, but there was an odd gap between the bed and the wall that made it difficult to sit up in bed. The mattress sagged a bit in the middle and probably needs a refresh. The neighborhood has been cleaned up but its still a bit on the rough side. The hotel is an oasis! Would love if there was a self park option affiliated with the hotel. The valet was very expensive.

This was a lovely stay. The room was small, but well equipped and organised, bed was super comfortable, all the amenities worked. The view was a bit weird, I was facing a wall, but I did not mind it that much as honestly I did not spend a lot of time in the room. Overall, this was a wonderful stay. I like the interior design of the hotel, the reception is beautiful, staff was well versed and they were very confident and helpful whatever was needed. We also had a dinner on a rooftop, as most of the places around close a bit earlier on Sunday, but the dinner on the rooftop was excellent.

Well, the only point, something that has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but this was outside the hotel, so many people with health problems, mostly mental issues which have not been treated because in the USA health is a private business. I felt so sorry, but might be a good idea maybe to organise some kind of a solidarity fund to help the homeless in the neighbourhood.

Great staff, comfy rooms, restaurant recommendations were great. Location was good and central to our needs

No exhaust in bathroom, no shower door, tiny sink, no heated bathroom floors or room slippers. It's not good to not have bathroom exhaust when there are two people using it and the towels not drying overnight. The tine sink and lack of shower door also contributed to water accumulation on the floors - had to ask for extra towels to line the floors due to water, and also due to floors being cold. Room slippers would've been helpful!

The staff were friendly and provide any assistance requested, the room and linen were clean, the bed was more comfortable than expected, the shower worked well, the rooftop taqueria was excellent.

Currently Portland Chinatown has no street life and the streets are taken over by homeless and dirt, the only thing around seem to be strip clubs. Its not the hotel's fault, thought. Having said that, I didn't experience any scary situation.

The room was clean, and all the services worked as promised. The shower was probably the best I have seen in a lot of time. Complementary canned water. The location was great, very close to the subway/tram lines and all the major attractions in Downtown Portland.

The room was quite small, far more than what I had expected. The area around the hotel feels less safe than what I had expected, since they are many homeless in the area around it, in the city center.

This hotel is adorable. The staff is top notch and so welcoming, from the moment we stepped out of the car from our long drive, we felt so cozy at the Hoxton. We were able to upgrade our room for a minimal cost, and it was more than worth it. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. I loved walking in to the room and having the radio playing, such a cool touch :) The restaurant next to the lobby is super cute and they have a great happy hour. The location is good, within walking distance or bike/scooter distance to all the things we wanted to do. Valet is super easy and efficient if you need to drive anywhere. We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Portland, and would recommend this to anyone coming here as well. Thank you for a great stay!
