Bear Creek Mountain Resort

Wonderful views of the mountainside covered in summer green colors, lots of outdoor decks, a small indoor arcade, and a beautiful, clean outdoor pool made our three-day getaway special! Staff were all friendly and helpful, including one local resident we chatted with who recommended a fantastic place for dinner called the Buckeye Tavern when we told her where we would be driving in the area during our stay. Overall, it made for a relaxed, easygoing vibe and we would happily return!

We never stayed in a resort before, so this was our first experience paying state taxes on our bill plus resort fees, but having access to extra activities, two pools, and food options justifies the added cost. We wish we would have had more time to take advantage of all the amenities.

We visited Bear Creek Resort during the winter break, but surprisingly it wasn't much crowded. It's a beautiful place, a lot of activities. The outdoor hot tub was our favorite! I also had a massage in spa, great experience, nice personnel. I enjoyed the spa area in general.

The only thing that upset me was the lack of communication. We bought tickets for tubing, my son was waiting for it for so long, we got all dressed up and ready only to find out that tubing was cancelled because of the weather. I understand that, but apparently it was also cancelled that very day when we bought tickets. My son got sooo sad, they could have at least warned us about this.

The location, the cleanliness of the place Was outstanding. The staff was pleasant but aside from two who went out of their way to help my son and I everyone pretty much stayed away. The server at the Grille cafe was very nice and friendly the rest of the staff seemed to just be there.

The staff could be friendlier. Seemed they all kept to themselves. I wanted to try a hiking trail but not many staff around to ask aside from the front desk who were clearly very busy checking people in and out. The front desk was very nice friendly and seemed like the only source of communication for almost everything.

The kids loved the pool, and the beds were comfortable. the room was nice.

The sofa bed! and the sofa itself and the chair were not comfortable. they were pretty hard, and not in a good way. I also didn't like that the room service was not 7 days a week. we were there on a Monday and the restaurant wasn't open. we'd had a long trip, and our food option was not great.

Bear Creek is always a fabulous weekend getaway for us, no matter what season. We always get a suite. It’s comfy, clean and gives us the wonderful illusion that we’re in a mountain resort in the Rockies or something. 😁 The spa is also one of my favorites! And they now how EV car chargers!

Noise level and crowds during ski season is atrocious. If you’re looking for quiet and cozy try before or after ski season.

I am trying to get a hold of someone from booking.com because I paid all in cash and my $100 is still pending on my bank card which they never put through but it’s frozen and I can’t get my $100 back can somebody from booking.com please release that pending charge because I paid in full in cash at the hotel and I need my $100 freed up on my bank card from last Thursday at check out thank you or can somebody please text me to my cell 717-210-1444

It's our second stay here and the kids love it. There are many activities to do, even in the summer.

The hotel is great and staff is welcoming. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was the uncomfortable sofa bed, and the long wait for a baby crib. It took them about 50+ mins to provide it.

Stood in check in line for 20 minutes despite completing precheck via phone. Said all I had to do was pick up keys, I waited behind many people completing normal check in. There should be a fast lane! I was sad certain activities were unavailable during our stay but we still had good time. Drinks were around 12 a piece which can add up fast, food was good. Hot tub was full at night with kids under age of 12, hard to relax…

Loved the location. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Loved all the pools and hot tubs. We enjoyed the tennis courts and complementary racquets and balls. We also enjoyed playing frisbee golf (we brought our own discs but the resort had some as well, AND they had a nicer disc bag than ours). We also enjoyed a beautiful evening walk around the property. The bar by the pool was a perfect location and the drinks were tasty. In the dining hall, the food was yummy and a good value for the size/variety.

It was chilly when we were there, and all of the outdoor heaters were out of gas. Apparently we could have asked for help, but we didn't know that. We also would have liked to sit at a fire pit outside, but they were all off. Again, we didn't know we should have asked to have them turn on, but we asked when we checked out and they said "yes, they would have come out to light them." Doh!! The tennis court needs a little love.

It’s spacious and clean. Lots of different places to hang out. We loved that the pools and hot tubs are open till 11pm and YEAR ROUND! The staff were very nice and accommodating, it’s not easy to find Good customer service these days. This place is the exception!
