Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Allentown West

Location was ideal being close to Allentown. Also across from wawa and near yaccoos hotdogs which I personally liked. For dinner me and my brothers ate at 1760 pub and grill which was less than 5 minutes away from the hotel in Trexlertown PA. With regards to the King suite I have absolutely no complaints. Room was clean as a whistle and calming music played on the flat-screen as I entered the room. I felt very at ease. After I settled in and unpacked I went down to the lobby and got a cup of coffee which was always available as well with hot water for making tea.

Good location. Very clean and quiet.

Felt ill and needed location of nearest urgent care. Clerk at desk didn’t know (I’m not from around here) and offered to Google it for me, which I ended up doing for myself. Found a great facility just 5 minutes away. Did not eat breakfast as needed to get to doctor, but Keurig in room was lovely. When reserving the room via booking.com, a message appeared to say that for $11 more I could upgrade to a room with a toilet!!! What? Called the hotel to confirm that ALL rooms do indeed have toilets.

The place is always clean, and they have a great staff that puts on the breakfast every morning.

So it appears they recently installed motion sensing thermostats, so if you set the temperature for your room & leave it doesn't stay at that temperature. When you walk back in at the end of the day the room is warm and as soon as you walk past the thermostat it clicks on and 20-25 minutes later you have a cool room.

There was good energy. They staff were kind and helpful. The pool was open by reservation only. You had to reserve the day off. Staff came in and sanitized the area after every use. The water slide in the pool area seemed to have low water pressure. Children struggled to slide down with ease. Lobby areas were clean at all time. Free parking was a plus. Rooms are nice and included a microwave. Would have been awesome if they have pocket doors to separate the sleeping quarters from the living area to make more intimate. The window backdrop is beautiful and photographs well. Nearby food and malls, about 20-30 minutes travel time.

Breakfast was good. cereal and milk and fresh fruit. There were frozen egg sandwiches which were fine in the microwave. Coffee and tea were good and there were many choices of coffee and tea. The bathroom in our room was huge and the shower was hot and good pressure. The fitness center and indoor pool were excellent! They even had a water slide that kids and adults can use. Awesome place.

My wife and I didn't like the King bed. The mattress was lumpy and too hard for her. It did not give you good support. It tough to please everyone because I like a harder mattress and she likes a softer one. But a lumpy mattress should be replaced.

Water slide was very cool! Kids loved it. Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and we had a very pleasant stay. About 10-15 minute drive to dorney park and would stay there again for future trip. There was also a nice park a few minutes drive away with running and biking trails that the front desk helped us figure out.

Hotel was very clean, very well maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The access to everything was easy to find. The room was very clean and the layout was excellent.

The only negative was that, for a weekday, the price was a bit expensive. I don't mind paying for a hotel room, but without much in the general vicinity, I thought the price was a bit inflated.

Clean, modern, updated

The front desk staff were kind of rushed and rude when I first got there, I understand being busy but at the time they weren’t. The morning staff was much nicer. The pool and slide were perfect, not big by any means but perfect for a little overnight thing and younger kids. I realize covid is keeping hotels from doing full breakfast but the grab and go breakfasts aren’t worth it to me and I wish they’d lower the price instead because it’s not the same by any means. The rooms were comfortable, adequate sizing for a family of 4 in the king with sofa bed. Everything very updated and clean. Definitely a little loud in the middle of the night sounded like a group of drunk men and a couple fighting up above us but All in all good experience and will definitely stay again.

Breakfast was really nice. The woman working on the weekends was excellent. Friendly, helpful and kept the area very clean. The woman working the front desk was also very good, Besides checking us in, she recommended an excellent place to eat. Room was clean and comfortable.

I did not like that I did not know the property had a swimming pool. The website I was on to book my stay did not seem to list a pool. I would have bought my swimsuit and made use of the pool.
