The Globe Inn

The Globe Inn was clean and well-kept. Check-in and out were a breeze. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was out of this world. The room was perfect, with a hot tub, wonderfully stuffed pantry including fridge, coffee, wine glasses and an opener. Just every detail to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable was there.

If I had to point out one thing it would be that the toilet seat in the bathroom was disconnected or broken on one end, so it moved. We often find this in hotels and find it strange that what seems like an easy fix is left that way. Could be because guests don’t tell the establishment, but when the cleaning staff prepares the bathroom they have to notice.

I liked the room….cozy and interesting and unique. I was only able to stay a night but think it would be very nice to stay several nights and actually use the kitchen and enjoy the room as a living area. Loved the dining area. Felt so historic Appreciated the generous and delicious free breakfast. Staff were very friendly. I had a very late arrival and I appreciated the arrangements that were made to accommodate that.

The stairs were a little hard for me. Next time I would request a second floor room.

The Globe Inn was an absolutely gorgeous hotel that definitely exceeded my expectations. Compared to the various other, more commercial hotels I've stayed in (Holiday Inn, Hampton, etc.), this one was uniquely beautiful and actually felt more like a home than a hotel. Besides the decor it was also spotlessly clean with a very friendly, accommodating staff. Unfortunately I only stayed for one night and one morning (I was only in the area for a funeral), so I couldn't really appreciate the full extent of the hotel's hospitality. Hopefully someday I'll be able to return for a longer stay and for a less sad reason.

I arrived late so I wasn't able to meet anyone at reception, but my key and necessary documents were left safely for me. It is difficult to access this incredibly fascinating building if you are lugging your stuff up to the second floor in the rain... But if I had arrived on time this would not have been a problem. For a shockingly affordable price, you will be treated to an incredibly adorable and perfect room with a refrigerator and a microwave, a spa tub! In addition to regular bathroom facilities, and the generally expected television, etc. The decor here is just perfect. The bed is comfortable. The room is remarkably and pleasantly clean. There is a fireplace, but I am making use of the air conditioner. Breakfast was a lovely affair. Continental is available for those who would prefer coffee and a bagel, but a small, hot, made to order menu is available. I was not expecting this! The staff were friendly and did not seem to mind my incessant questions about the history of this beautiful space. A great night. Followed by an excellent morning; well rested and fed and back on the road! I look forward to coming back!

We loved the historical aspect of the Inn. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to choose what we wanted. Eggs Bacon Toast and Pancakes with orange juice and coffee. The staff were friendly , professional and helpful. The jacuzzi tub in the room was large with good water pressure and all jets working. an old restored movie theatre The Grand Theatre was within walking distance. We highly recommend The Globe Inn and we will be back.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of variety. The room was very clean & comfortable with a fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Parking was free, easy & right next to the property. Wifi was good & plenty of channels on the TV. The decor is definitely unique, with a four-poster bed!

The shower was very poor with just dribbles of water. As we had a first/ground floor room, all of the windows were covered with blinds for privacy and no real view.

Convenient for visiting family. Very good cooked to order breakfast. Spacious room. Very friendly staff. Great value. Will return.

Not a problem this stay but would be in inclement weather - long walk from parking lot to entrance Narrow stairs would have been difficult if I’d had large heavy luggage. No conditioner or coffee creamers in room.

Beautiful, historic building, with very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious, with made to order entrees as well as quick grab items. Room was nicely appointed and a good size for our purposes. Though we didn't use it, we loved the VCR in the room, and the extensive video library in the hallway!

The bathroom was quite small,( the shower door hit the toilet, it was so close) and the shower head sprayed water up and onto the wall. While the bathroom was clean, the toilet seat was old and chipped. I found the bed quite uncomfortable and lumpy: however, my husband said it was fine. The biggest problem I could see was that there are no elevators. It was fine for us with only a small overnight bag, but someone who has larger suitcases would find it difficult to navigate the narrow, steep stairwells.

Breakfast was wonderful, pleasant. Plenty of parking.

Wallpaper, therefore room, was very dark but comfortable. I was told that you would accommodate a 1st floor room because of pain climbing stairs. When we mentioned that, I was praised for doing so well on the stairs as were lead to a 2nd fl room.

The individual breakfast was excellent . The woman who handled the kitchen was exceptional. She made everything perfect and was very pleasant. Really enjoyed that time of day.

The rom was not as big as expected. The bathroom area was small and the shower was extremely small and felt cramped.
