American Inn

I love this place. Carlisle PA is the half way point between Pittsburgh and New York City. I've traveled probably about 180 times in the 30 years I've been in New York and this very friendly little motel is very inexpensive and right off the PA turnpike. They have a fridge and a microwave and if you know where to go it's simply an easy option if you don't feel like "driving all the way." Carlisle is a wonderful, beautiful, and historic Civil War town. Fun to explore.

The water pressure in the shower could really use a boost. But- it's hot !

Room was perfect for my mom and I. The handicap parking spot was right in front of our door. Location was close to my work and plenary of choices for food. Had a washer and dryer available which was great.

I know it wasn’t time but if the pool was open that would have been great. Doesn’t open till the 22nd. There was an election sign that made it hard to see traffic to get out.

The motel is a great value at this price point. It is clean and comfortable. The rooms are large. The TVs are new and there is a good variety of programs to choose from. There are some good restaurants nearby, along with convenience stores and gas stations. The location is close to the PA turnpike and Interstate 81.

The shower curtains sre too short and the bathroom floor gets very wet.

The pool even though it opened on the day, I was leaving. The grass and trees around the property. No complaints really, great experience for the value.

Just need a higher wifi connection, to stream on devices. I couldn’t stream using my Google Chrome cast because the wifi signal wasn’t strong enough.

It is very cheap but met my expectations of bed, and bath w/ a small fridge and microwave so it had everything we needed...The pool was an added bonus for the price. The sheets were always clean

Soft spots on the floor...our 1st room months ago had a filthy, greasy floor but all rooms since then were ok

Being able to use the pool daily, Customer service and amenities were great!, Rutters across the street. Close to many fun attractions especially Hershey park. You really get what you pay for plus more.

The beds we had were a little on the uncomfortable side but that was okay because everything else made up for it.

Nice Inn. Good value and it had everything you needed. Staff was friendly and service was good. Pool was refreshing. Very good location. Near everything in the Carlisle area.Would stay there again.

Room could of been a little cleaner but it was alright.

The staff was and is very understanding as we was staying there until our closing date to our dream home and thanks to Americann Inn we was safe, warm and very comfortable. I will not only stay again but also recommend.

The fact that i came in the winter and was not able to enjoy the pool area but other wise i dont have nothing negative to say.

First floor room and was able to directly in front for loading/unloading and see the car in it’s parking space

It’s a old hotel,didn’t have a clock in the room,we were short face towels,and they didn’t make the beds and straighten up!!

I really enjoyed how quite and friendly everything was i will definitely will be returning for another stay.

Nothing that was not allowed or accepted we made the best of the light/curtain letting the sun light in but again very quite stay.
