Comfort Suites Downtown Carlisle

It was really nice inside - front desk, my room. Very warm and welcoming

I don’t know if it’s just my dog but if dogs are allowed at the hotel, there needs to be more of a grassy area nearby for them to do their business. My dog was so anxious that he couldn’t find a soft place for his Culo so he started pooping as he was looking for a spot 🙄😂. Just a suggestion

The staff is the main reason why we will return. So accommodating, friendly, and eager to please. Our room was larger then we expected. Plenty of room. The restaurant in the hotel is phenomenal. Room service delivers with a smile and if something is needed they tend to it right away. Free parking in large parking garage just feet behind the hotel.

The bed sheets were very thin. Not the best quality but doable.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and understanding when our dog managed to escape from the room. (bad dog!). They really saved the day and went above and beyond. The breakfast included hot items and was excellent. The parking garage was conveniently located and the room rate was very reasonable.

Staff was very friendly and quite helpful when we were checking in and was looking for a place to eat within walking distance. Interior was clean, well maintained, and vibed nicely with the historic downtown area of its location.

Breakfast was to be included but it was greatly lacking. Only packaged muffins (which were dry) - nothing hot. We can understand when all hotels weren't sure of how to provide this right after Covid hit, but our stays at other hotels recently have shown us there is a way to safely provide at a hot breakfast (a warm bagel, a way to make waffle, or other hot items) and do so "safely". By now, if a hotel has the space to provide this option safely (and this one did), and if they are going to advertise "breakfast included" and charge the same rate, then they shouldn't appear to use Covid as an exuse to take the easier route.

Breakfast was ok. Coffee very good. These days, can’t expect a real breakfast . They offered packaged muffins that were ok, and breakfast sandwiches to microwave that were also satisfactory. Attendant in breakfast room was very pleasant and it was very clean

I guess there is a parking charge for the adjacent municipal garage whic I wasn’t aware of . Less than $5/ day, and the hotel is city center ( wonderful location!), so I guess to be expected.

the convenience to walking around down town

the bed wasn’t comfortable like in the past. and the fan on the heat/coming system kept coming off and on and was very annoying ! we were at end of hallway near stairs and it was noisy with people coming and going all night long

The location is perfect for our stay in Carlisle. WE have a granddaughter that attends college there and we have stayed here before. It will be our "home" away from home when in Carlisle. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and there is also a restaurant on the property.

The location and restaurant at this hotel . I can’t say enough about how great the staff was at this hotel from the checkin personnel to the waitress in the restaurant.we always have a wonderful experience when we stay here. We travel with our dog and stay here on our way to Ny and back to NC several times a year.My dog gets treated so well and she loves it here! The hotel is located in a cute little town that has so much charm.We enjoy walking around the town .

Room was comfortable and clean. The location is excellent. A housekeeper in the hall was quite attentive when I could not get key to open lock. All staff were friendly and helpful, much appreciated. Micro/refrig. - although I didn't need, were appreciated.

The orange juice was poor. Did not care for the pets allowed policy (may not have noticed when I booked). A dog next door was barking ferociously for several minutes until person took him away.

Great little hotel in the perfect location. Historic and nicely themed to reflect local history. Parking extremely convenient. Breakfast was grab'n'go (no hot items) but good enough. We had a pet so likely were put on a pet friendly floor. As result room was just ok - no view (smallish window looked out on wall). But room was clean and smelled fresh and was adequate, but nothing fancy. Restaurant/pub food and service was excellent!

Expected room to be a bit 'fancier' but because we were with a pet we were likely in a pet-proofed room, so really it was ok.
