Sleep Inn Carlisle South

Convenient location Generally pretty clean Nice friendly staff 5 minutes from the center of Carlisle, via Hanover St. Would recommend to family/friends :)

on THIS stay, 2 “cleanliness” issues in my room: 1/ My bathroom toilet was not cleaned under the rim. Noticeable staining or mold or ??? there. I chose not to “investigate!” Mentioned to staff at desk. They were friendly and responsive about that. (I’ve stayed at this hotel many times for Dickinson College “events.”) 2:Also I found a squashed up yellow-pages book wedged behind the headboard-end of my mattress/boxspring, which tells me the cleaning staff may take “shortcuts” in room “refreshening.” I meant to mention this “find” to the desk but forgot. (Not quite sure how the person changing the bed could not have noticed the yellow-pages sticking out from behind the mattress. I noticed it while going to bed the first night, when I turned to “fluff” my pillow. It was pretty obvious!)

Really clean and crisp room. Only complaint was that the pocket door for the bathroom was off the track. Not familiar with this brand but was looking for a cost effective overnight that was clean and comfortable. Absolutely met all of this needs. About a mile walk into downtown (hiker here so easy stroll)

Only issue was bathroom pocket door off track. Not an issue for me though.

The woman who checked us in on 08/26 around 6pm was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The gentleman who checked us out on 08/27 was not particularly friendly or helpful. He seemed to have cared less w/o even a short “thank you”. The rooms, although showing a lot of age, we’re very clean and the beds freshly made up, we’re very comfortable. The hall carpets are worn, stained, gross and need to be replaced.

Breakfast was great! It was supposed to end at 9 but there were still a lot of people in there at 9:15 so they continued to bring out fresh food. Staff was great and the property was very well maintained and very clean!

The beds were a little small. They were just slightly wider than a twin. They were comfortable tho and had plenty of pillows!

Room was a good-size, clean, and reasonably quiet (see below). Easy in/easy out, and less than 10 minutes away from our destination. Staff was friendly.

I reserved a room with a single queen bed with a bathroom that included a tub. The site's Email response indicated that. However, when we checked in... No tub. I went to the front desk and was advised the Inn only had 4 rooms with tubs, and all were already occupied. Well... I already KNEW the Inn had only four rooms with tubs, but.... so much for reservations, I guess. And honestly, it wasn't that big a deal, it's just that my lady likes to luxuriate in a nice tub. We did fine without.

They have WAFFLES! Nice size pool. Employees are very friendly. The place is clean. Beds are comfortable medium firm matress. Little coffee makers (if you bring your own coffee be sure to have small filters).

The location isn't the greatest. The highway is behind the building, and so was our room, so it's noisy all night. Also its pretty far from the fairgrounds and any bars. Very close to Walmart though. PS- if the hotel put in a bar that would be awesome.

Liked having coffee available early morning. Liked real fried egg. Room was quiet, very clean, and comfortable. Staff was helpful and courteous!

Bathroom shower splashes easily onto floor bathroom floor outside shower. Bathroom shower floor slippery. Used towel to on shower floor to help with traction.

Great value for a quick overnight while traveling. Easy to access off freeway. Easy in ramp to freeway entrance. Gas station and a restaurant. Newer area.

The bathroom needs updating. Not bad. Discoloration on ceiling above window. Could be mold as it had a musty odor in the room.

Clean and nice room

Lady running the breakfast was unprofessional, in sweat pants and sweat shirt with a plastic bag on her head like she just colored her hair, nothing showing she worked there, should be in uniform and not like your at home, everyone was talking about it

We needed to ask for plates, bacon and eggs several times. It was hard for the check in staff to keep things moving. However when asked they went the extra mile. The hotels location is awesome for getting off and on the highway.

There was no hair conditioner.
