Hampton Inn (not a Hilton Affiliate) Camp Hill - Harrisburg SW

We thought this place was great. We were passing through the area after a day of driving and decided to stop for a night. We weren't really looking for anything other than a place to lay our heads, and some of the other hotels at the area seemed to have some hit-or-miss reviews, so we weren't necessarily expecting too much beyond the basics. This place was a nice surprise. Super clean and spacious room with a large tv, microwave, and refrigerator. Comfortable beds. Nice shower. The man at the front desk when we checked in was very kind and courteous. There was even a breakfast in the morning. Obviously if you are looking for a luxury hotel experience, you would be looking at other places, but if you want a well-priced, clean, and comfortable place to overnight, this place is great. We were only passing through, so we can't really speak to the location, but it seems like a pretty easy drive to downtown Harrisburg.

The front desk staff at check in (Dom) and check out (I don't remember the name, but she is Dom's mother) were absolutely amazing. When I made the reservations, I requested extra towels and pillows, they were not in the room when we arrived, but Dom brought them to our room personally. He is one of a kind in the service industry. The room was perfect for our quick overnight stay. We are entertainers and just needed a spot to rest and shower and get ready for the next show. Great location!

Possibly a bigger television, but honestly nothing was wrong with the room besides being a bit outdated and the phone not plugged in.

Very quiet room and location, right next to a restaurant in a suburban neighborhood. The room was very well-furnished, clean, and in good condition. TV and wifi worked reasonably well and parking was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast options were included. Pretty good value!

Only minor complaints. The shower was very good but had mold in between the tiles. There was a mildly smoky odor in the bedroom that is typical of older motels - almost certainly from a cleaning product.

Quite relaxing hotel. Good location to the all service needed...reasonable. Clean..reception is great honest in their advertising when they said they have breakfast. Which a lot of hotels they didn't. I really recommend it for everyone to try them..because I stayed with them last year and this year and they will be my first choice..

I think they need to make a some kind of Inspection for their towels and replace them after a certain time and it cost nothing even if they have to add an extra dollar for this purpose..small negative thing could effect the rating..it will cost you nothing but it will raise your rating..

Everything went smoothly with booking and check-in. The room was clean and everything worked. There could have been better lighting. My expectations of breakfast were not very high but the breakfast exceeded my expectations. There was no butter or cream cheese for the toast and bagels.

Room has little older furniture but it was clean, nice bedding and comfy bed. Great value for the price. Continental breakfast

Parking close to the room. Near the events we were in town for. Quiet location.

Needed more lighting in the room. Would like a nightstand or table on both sides of the bed instead of just 1 side.

Confortable bed and very large room with frig and microwave. Breakfast offering was nice.

Not the hotel’s fault but the woman and children next to me were way too noisy until early morning hours. the woman continually yelled at her children with language that was crude and not appropriate.

The breakfast was delicious, Cheerios cereal, banana for cereal, toasted bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam, strawberry banana yogurt, orange juice. Very nice and helpful front desk staff.

The lid of the toilet seat in room 119 was not affixed and slid off when lowering toilet seat lid. Fine if not lowering toilet seat lid. Minor thing. Bed mattress and pillows were excellent and comfortable.

Location was great as was price and overall room. Breakfast was ok with limited food choices and seating…the workers did their best to keep up and were very pleasant and accommodating.

There were no hand towels and no shower curtain (the way the shower was made and bathroom was situated it seemed to be you wouldn’t need one), but the tile did get a bit slippery….but overall it served our purpose!
