Hilton Garden Inn Providence

Comfortable room. Staff was pleasant. Food at the grill was good. Location was good.

I stayed here because the ad said "free local transportation." When I checked in they told me they stopped it 2 weeks ago. I reserved this more than a month before. They could have notified me!The taxi company they recommended was a joke. They were unreliable and tried to charge me extra. I asked for housekeeping every other day but only got it once-- the day before I left!

The view of the harbor from my room was great. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. It's a standard Hilton Garden Inn.

It's very difficult to get to the lovely India Point Park right in front of the hotel. There is zero pedestrian access to the hotel, you almost have to come in a car. The location is adjacent to wonderful restaurants just to the north on Wickenden, but you have to take a circuitous route to get there. One of the least pedestrian-friendly places I've been.

The location was nice. Beautiful view of the water. Walking distance to an amazing coffee shop. Balcony bar overlooking the water was awesome.

The fire alarms went off at 2:45am the first night we were there. Had to evacuate. Thankfully the weather was nice. We were all outside for about a half hour. Obviously this is not the hotels fault (at least from what I gathered it wasn't)

door key did not work for first room assigned, had to run back and forth multiple times. had to change to different room on different floor, thus had to move luggages. need to pay parking separately. double charge room booked from here and had to spend time requesting refund. refund was prompt. business hotel not suitable for family with many luggages

So...location was great. Check in and out was a breeze. Sheila was fantastic- she put us in rooms right next to each other and kindly helped us with our 17 year old! She was just so great about it, thank you! Free parking, and plenty of it. First night we were there, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the hotel - staff handled it professionally and the fire department was there before we could even get out the door. Everyone was ok and we were able to go back in a few minutes later. Exciting for the kids... Also, great park right next to the hotel. Onsite guest laundry, very convenient. There is also a kind of game rooms (maybe x-box & Playstation- you need to go to the front desk to ask for the controllers). Looks like they also have board games. You can get breakfast for an extra fee. There is limited indoor parking and lots of parking outside.

Its a no smoking facility but clearly people were smoking on the floor. That got very annoying- we could smell it in the hallways. Sad it doesn't have a pool - its the kind of hotel that should.

gorgeous view from room. just a mile walk from the concert venue that we came from out of state for. very clean

expensive for what it was! this was the closest to the venue we came for which is why we booked but other hotels in the area were less then half the price. don’t think it was worth the price

I found this hotel to be very comfortable for all the important things: bed, heating/cooling and shower. All of these meant that we had a super enjoyable stay for our daughter’s wedding.

Parking charges seem high at $12/day.

Great location if you’re happy to walk. Easy walking distance to Providence and Newport ferry. Nice size room, very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Great shuttle bus driver too.

Shuttle was only Fri-Sun which we weren’t aware of until we tried to arrange a lift to the station. Also we asked for housekeeping one day but nobody came.

We liked that the room was very clean, comfortable, and the view of the harbor was amazing. Location was very nice, and it was only a walk down to the harbor. The room was nice because it was airy and bright, and very well kept. The staff was pretty nice too! Will certainly come back next time!

The only thing i didn’t like about the the property was that the curtains cannot be closed so in the morning the sunlight glares into your face, and you can’t sleep in the morning because it’s too bright. That’s the only thing I didn’t like about this property but everything else was awesome!

The staff were very helpful. The location was nice. The breakfast was one of the best tasting hotel breakfasts I have ever had!! They also explained that there is shuttle services to take you to a variety of restaurants and attractions.

The lights in the room were a little awkward to figure out. Additionally the HVAC system only allowed for Heat or A/C. On a fall or spring day, when the weather is cool or chilly it could end up getting too hot or too cold easily in the room.
