- the breakfast was very basic and very boring for 7 days in a row… allegedly there would be an extra every day, but did not notice anything extra on most days. But all in all I would definitely visit again due to everything else in the hotel being excellent.

Perfect location. The staff was outstanding including reception, housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast staff and valet. The daily breakfast menu was fresh each day as well as hot coffee and a variety of juices. My room was gorgeous and clean with a great view of the river and the capitol. The amenities in my room were good too as well as the gym. Check out the pictures on the website because they are true representations. You can use your phone to unlock the room or a key card. Elevators only go up to guest rooms with your key access so that made me feel a bit safer. It was nice to have the valet and car so close just on case I needed to go out further. Otherwise every place you would want to go was within walking distance including the bus and train stations.

Only 2 elevators which were slow. It seemed like they always went down to the lobby or ground floor before going back up to the guest floors.

The location is good, the valet parking was nice to have, if a little expensive for one night. Room was spacious, view of the river and gondola rices was cool.

Breakfast was a joke, had to ask someone to refill the hot foods. The eggs and sausage looked to be pre-made and not fresh prepared. Overall cost was higher than a one night stay should be, in my opinion.

Large suite with kitchen, safe, coffee maker, view. Helpful, friendly staff. Central location. Free drinks & snacks in bar on Wednesday 5-6.30.

You have to request to have your room serviced, but this was a minor inconvenience. Also no free parking. They offer valet parking for $32 a night, but we opted for the carpark across the street which was slightly less expensive.

Our suite was magnificent. We had everything, including a king-size bed, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, a two-burner stove, a large refrigerator, and even a dishwasher. But the best part was the view from our very large window. We looked out on the river and had a front-row seat at Water Fire. Would we stay here again? A better question would be: Why did we have to leave?

The desk/table in our room had a very comfortable chair. However, if two people wanted to sit down and eat together, there was no other straight-back chair for that purpose. We pulled the bench from under the coffee table, but I think a chair would be more convenient and comfortable. Just an idea!

Had to depart from the room and hotel before the time of complimentary breakfast being available.

The price was great, but I didn't know about the additional security fee until after arrival. It was refundable, but I confirmed the price booked beforehand.

Location was superb, right in downtown Providence, and within easy walking distance of the charming Brown campus and historic Benefit Street, and a short jaunt to the Rhode Island State House and Waterplace Park. The room we reserved was huge and very comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was average, but there were tons of options, including some hot items like oatmeal, potatoes, and eggs.

There is no on-site self-parking lot; the options for parking were either the valet for $28 night (current rate as of fall 2021) with in-and-out privileges, or overnight parking in a public lot across the street for a comparable rate. The staff was quite pushy with suggesting the valet service at both the front desk at check in and the valet station outside, and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome leaving our car for a couple minutes in the (inadequate and small) car turn-around area in front of the hotel just long enough to drop off our bags.

Room was very nice and spacious. The breakfast included was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to Strand Theatre & Ballroom and restaurants (6 min walk from hotel).

It would have been nice if the front disk employee was more knowledgeable about nearby restaurants and other nearby places (e.g., Strand Theatre & Ballroom).

The view was superb from the room and it was quite spacious, with a desk to work and enough space for suitcases for 3 people. The location is excellent, with a short walk to all the nice restaurants and to Brown University.

The choice for breakfast was extremely limited, even compared to other Homewood Suites hotels. There were no pastries, while normally there are in other hotels of this chain.

It was perfect for my needs. Great restaurants nearby. I felt safe in and around the whole area.

One of the car valet guys ignored me (a lady) and helped 2 others (men) who walked up. He did not pay me any attention until I sat in his seat behind the little desk of keys ... which he'd left unlocked with keys totally open for the taking.
