493 King Two Bedroom Suites

the cleaning cost that wasn’t up front since I only reached the first bedroom and never touched any other part

The suite was beautiful. It was clean and spacious. The location was nice, as it was close to everything, yet not in the thick of it all for a busy holiday weekend.

The price was a bit on the steep-side, although for the area, it was probably comparable. The listing on booking.com was deceiving as far as the price.

Location. This facility is located in the heart of the King Street tourist district. We walked everywhere. The unit is spacious: two bedrooms, living room-kitchenette-dining area, even the hallways are spacious. Facilities are well kept and clean. The antique Otis elevator takes getting used to, but is worthy of a FB post. The kitchenette is functional and includes the basics for cooking small meals. If you come by car, parking is easy to get into and out of and $20 a day is not too bad for the area. This facility seems like a BNB without the first B, no breakfast. The emails that the Vacasa group sends to future renters can be a little confusing at first, but once you get to the location, they all start to make sense. Although the 493 King staff is not present at the location, they are just a text away and prompt with instructions. The binder in our room was extremely helpful for figuring out the functions of the rental and what to do on the peninsula.

The location was convenient to very many restaurants and shops. We walked to restaurants for every meal during our stay and used our car only one time.

The only ‘negative’ about our stay may have been the stairs leading from the first floor to the second floor. They were a bit steep and somewhat dimly lit, but it’s an older building and to be expected. No real way to change that and really wasn’t much of a negative aspect at all.

Excellent location which allowed us to walk to anywhere that we wanted to visit while in Charleston. Suite was spacious and clean.

The hallway outside of the suites being made of wood with only a few rugs placed down allowed a lot of noise from people walking up and down the hallway. With the bedrooms all being placed along the hallway, it was hard to sleep at times from that noise and the doors closing loudly.

The location was the best. Space was adequate.

Furniture could have been better. Not enough comfortable seating. Didn’t like the bar height table and bar stools. Needs at least one more chair in the common area or another loveseat.

The location was nice. All was in walking distance. Easy parking.

Cleaning fee was a bit steep. Actually, it was quite steep. However, the place was quite nice and on cheaper end regarding overall cost vs. other places nearby.

Great location for walking to restaurants & shopping.

Only issue we had was with back door where elevator is. it wouldn’t open upon checking in. I went through street side door to go open back door. The door worked the following day after being reported.

I liked the private and secluded nature of the room.

I didn't like that the fact it was such a short stay. :)

Rooms and location were perfect

I had trouble with understanding where I could park. In my room found car tag and it had the # 10 written on back. Thinking that was the packing slip, I parked the spot 10. I got ticketed and boot lock on my wheel and had to pay $52 to have it removed 😞
