Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel

The location was in the perfect spot not a lot of traffic and right at the beach. There were easy convenient restaurant locations with great food options. The hotel was peaceful and quiet even with lots of families stain. The floors were always clean the swimming pool area was clean. Exceptional staff to greet you every day.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is clean and the front desk personnel are excellent. There are a few restaurants around and honestly everything you need is around this location. If you are taking your kids, I’d definitely recommend this spot because it is right on the beach but it is also quiet at night so you’re able to get some good sleep. It is away from the madness of Myrtle Beach but the travel distance is no biggie.

The hotel was very clean, I enjoyed the view of the ocean (know that ALL rooms are an ocean view and not ocean front) however, the view is great. Overall, a really nice experience.

Pool was not heated and the karaoke bar across the street can be pretty loud if you're trying to enjoy a quiet weekend.

This place is fantastic! Close to great restaurants(across the street) and oceanfront, you can't go wrong. Staff is super, super polite, and helpful. Upon check-in, they give you a welcome box of taffy, which i thought was such a great touch. The safety of needing a room key to access the upper floors is nice as well. Smoking areas were cute little chill spots that had couches and chairs and ashtrays, so smokers weren't treated differently than non-smokers. The pool is heated and wonderful. Jacuzzi is so relaxing. Lots of lounge chair seating options and towels provided for pool. It's really such a great place to stay. I can't recommend it enough. Beds were divine and so comfortable. Santizing is a priority here and you can tell. Santizing dispensers all over, santitized remote and phone then covered with plastic bags... amazing. To struggle with your rolling luggage on some horrible carpet is such a pain. I LOVED THAT THE HALLWAYS WERE FLOORS AND NOT CARPET. This was a nice surprise and so much more sanitary. I will absolutely stay here again. It was my first time to Myrtle Beach, and I'm glad this was my first experience. Ty Surfside.

The only couple of tiffs I had were that there were no drawers to store clothes, and the shower heads and water pressure were meh. I have long, thick hair, and there was no way I could wash it in that shower. I can't get a good soak. New showerheads and better water pressure would be so great. Also, I would have loved it if they had breakfast in the morning. They also do not have laundry services, so I had to go to the laundromat, which was only a few minutes away, but to have that option on site would be much more convenient.

I liked that it was in close proximity to food and walking distance from the beach (by the hotel is construction) also, there was a pool option. The lighting could be set up differently, all of the outlets should be operable and the should be some type of accessibility function for safety just in case you find yourself alone. The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful.

The one parking pass per room is not feasible. There was not enough staff to accommodate our needs for extra or missing amenities; we had to go get things from the staff.

We loved the room. The hotel is older but nice. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. We loved having easy access to the beach. The staff was pretty friendly. Location is great if you don't mind the hustle of things.

I know it's the beach but it was very busy and a little chaotic. The balconies are tiny and horrible. There wasn't enough room to do anything! You can barely turn around on them. We were disappointed that the pier was under construction and closed but that's not the hotels fault.

Rooms clean, beds comfortable, good free coffee in the lobby every morning. Free box of salt water taffy offered upon check in. We have stayed here several times. Close to friends in Surfside; also close to all the restaurants in Murrells inlet along the water. Not oceanfront but you can see the ocean from your room window/balcony. Walkway to the beach right in the parking lot, oh, free parking in their garage/lot.

It is right next to the surfside pier, they are still working on it (no noise at night). They said it should be done by this summer though (2023).

Very nice and super clean. Right on the beach. Looks like it was recently remodeled. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and not crowded at all. Several restaurants right across the street. Traffic was not bad at all.

Not really anything I didn't like. The balconies are tiny but you can sit 2 people on them. The restaurants/bars that are right next to the hotel can get pretty loud...but it's not really noticeable with the balcony doors closed.

Comfortable bed, clean and large refrigerator.

Told the room was an ocean view which was very misleading. None of the rooms face the ocean. It should be described as partial ocean view from your balcony only. You cannot see the ocean from in your room. The balconies were so small you couldn't even move your chair. The hotel described that there would be some construction of the pier beside the hotel. I expected noise but I didn't expect a large building in front of the pier to block the the ocean view that you could only see from your balcony. The hotels description of the pier and the ocean view is very misleading. You don't find this out until you get there.

Clean, comfortable and convenient to the beach as well as several of our favorite restaurants

Construction at the adjacent pier was inconvenient but not a surprise. The hotel gave us notice it was going on. Had our room been on the other side of the property we would never have heard it. Being on vacation it would’ve been nice to sleep in a bit later however I don’t hold it against the property
