GrandStay Residential Suites Rapid City

The hotel was close to the interstate making it easy to get to all of the attractions very easy. it has an outdoor area behind the building that you can use to run around or just sit in the patio. The breakfast was your basic hotel breakfast with oatmeal, cereal, waffles, etc. We liked having a separate room from the kids in our room and the main area was big enough for a air mattress so our kids didn’t have to sleep together on the pull out couch. The full size refrigerator was nice to have.

The room looked bigger in the pictures and the mattress on the bed needed to be replaced as my wife and I keep rolling to the middle through out the night.

Safety is a huge concern these days and this property goes above and beyond to provide its guests with safety. Have always loved this property and will forever choose the GrandStay when staying in Rapid City!

Getting any later of a checkout than 12pm is next to impossible.

The room was clean, spacious, The staff, particularly the woman working at the breakfast was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good also.

The man at check in wasn't friendly at first. A woman and her daughter came in at the same time as we did. No one was at the front desk so I used the phone as directed. When he came to the front desk, I told the woman to go first since they walked in at the same time. She said we should go but I told her to go ahead. The man didn't seem too happy about that and indicated that someone should check in.

The rooms were spacious and very reasonably priced. The hotel itself was very clean and welcoming.

We had the suites, I’m guessing those don’t get used very much. I would recommend staff run water in the kitchen sink on a regular basis. Every morning that I got up to make coffee, there were bugs in the sink or on the counter. This usually happens due to p-traps getting dry and attracting them.

The breakfast is warm. The hot water for tea and coffee are available all day long which is very comforting for the cold weather.

The only thing I would complain is that no house keeping during our 10 day stay. We took out the trash and used towels in the morning, but we didn’t get the trash bags replaced and the towels are replaced very randomly, ie they would replace the bath towels with a bunch of wash clothes.

We love the Suites here. There is NO BETTER water pressure anywhere that I have ever been and plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly as can be, and service is excellent. The breakfast there is so good, I want to come pay to eat.😂. This is somewhere I could live. Thank you very much!

The staff were very friendly! I loved the size of the room and the fact that it came furnished with most anything you could need to cook and serve food. It felt like an apartment as opposed to a hotel room! The hotel is easy to navigate to and from and is within minutes of the civic center, shopping and restaurants, which is very convenient.

The screens on the windows were torn, though it wasn't too big of a deal as there were no bugs to worry about. Due to COVID, the breakfast was handed out in bags upon request. Would have liked to see some prepackaged items available at-will so I didn't have to take the front desk staff away from her duties. The exercise room needs better ventilation as it smells very strongly of chlorine due to the proximity of the pool and it likely stays pretty closed up most of the time.

We enjoyed our staying during the 4 days and 3 nights. It's spacious and we liked the kitchen including refrigerator, table, dishwasher and utensils. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast were good too.

We liked to have our group staying together and enjoyed our fellowship. We could pack our lunch together and keep our food in the refrigerator. it's very handy. We kept it clean for the next group to enjoy. Front desk employees were professional and friendly. Thank you.

Clean facilities, friendly staff, good location, pet friendly, good breakfast, fresh coffee, whats not to like.

The breakfast staff could have been a little nicer about the empty coffee. She gave a not so friendly look when the coffee was out instead of saying I'm sorry we will get you some more. It's kinda your job to take care of guests, we expected a little better. Another negative is the nonrefundable reservations. Things happen, would be nice to know frequent users could have the flexibility.

after we checked in, with all our stuff in the room, another customer was given keys to our room and proceed to occupy our room, took a shower and went to bed! Staff responded by immediately assisting this other customer out of our room and re-cleaning. Though it didn't appear that this customer messed with our food or possessions, it was rather disconcerting.
