Cambria Hotel Rapid City near Mount Rushmore

The property was well kept and certainly a great location for getting around Rapid. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Our only complaint might be that the bathrooms were not very well lit.

The room was large and spacious. The A/C worked well. Water pressure and softness were excellent. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator worked and the freezer area froze our ice packs. It was clean. We don't use the maids on a long stay, but occasionally like to change towels, etc. The staff was willing to accommodate our request.

The elevator area, main lobby, and road leading into the hotel were dirty and needed cleaning. It seemed like someone had vomited all over the carpet in the elevator area, and while it had been cleaned, it wasn't cleaned well enough to get rid of the smell. The lobby area had mud tracked in on people's shoes, and stayed that was for a couple of days until we left. The road leading into the property and the parking lot had been tracked with mud and golf-ball-sized rocks (a lot) and while the mud washed away with the next rain, the rocks were large and difficult to navigate so they didn't damage your tires.

For the most part, the staff was very helpful and friendly; especially the guy that works at night. The room was setup nice with a couch so we had someplace to kick back after a day of hiking the Nat'l Parks. Indoor pool was relaxing and the fire pit was a great place to relax in the evenings. The snack offerings in the lobby were nice addition.

There were limited offerings for breakfast, which were supposed to be included in the room rate. Apparently there was some issue with Booking.com and the hotel because they didn't want to honor the "breakfast included" until I showed them the confirmation email. Then they kind of made a big deal about it, which made us feel awkward. Consequently, we only ate breakfast there the first day, again because there were limited offerings.

This was my second time staying here and I will definitely be coming back. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool/jacuzzi/gym are open 24/7 which is exciting to me even though I haven't taken advantage yet and the staff have been beyond friendly each time! It's quickly become my favorite place to stay when I need a night away in town. The location is close to one of my favorite restaurants (Sickies), right around the corner from the J bar (one of my favorite bars in town), the bigger/newer Common Cents and right off the interstate. Not to mention, Rushmore Crossing is right down the street as well. There's NOTHING I don't like about this hotel. Oh and you really can't beat the price!

There is literally nothing to complain about with this hotel. The beds and pillows are comfortable, it has a good amount of space, the bathtubs are always clean, it's quiet, the staff are friendly, the pool and hot tub are amazing and they're extremely accommodating. My last visit, I called for a late check out and it was no problem at all. I have ZERO complaints. It's made the top of my list!

a little mislead about breakfast/ it’s not included. g Ft or an extended stay situation only 1 washer and 1 dryer for this big place ? and only takes quarters front desk with limited quantities of change. price is high but apparently this is rapid city… expensive housing or seedy rentals gor temporary workers.

Loved that I was welcomed by the lady at the front desk (can't recall her name). The whole process was pretty quick. Went to my room to a clean, nice room. The lighting was great, the room itself spacious, nicely laid out. The decor pulled it all together. The bathroom was a good size and super nice. I will definitely be returning my next trip.

I very much liked the location of this hotel. It is right next to an awesome bar and grill. I liked we were always able to find a parking space after a day of touring and exploring. This hotel was always quiet and comfortable during our stay.

I did not care to go to the restaurant from what I saw of it, it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. The restaurant just didn't look inviting. There was no menu in the room to let us know what the restaurant offered. We ate at other places for our meals. We noticed it took at least 10 minutes for the shower/bath water to be warm enough.

NA, not serving due to covid. If they can't serve breakfast as they usually do, they need to come up with a different way to bring it back.

THE POOL AND JACUZZI WERE OPEN 24/7! Although I wasn't in there past 8pm, I think it's great that that is an option. The room was beautiful, everything was clean and comfortable with all of the amenities someone would need. Overall just a great place to stay.

Erm, I don't have any real complaints. I stayed in a King bedroom and it had a "living room" space as well. It could've been a tad bigger but for just two people, it was perfect. I really don't have a single bad thing to say about my stay, will definitely be back!

location, general set up

staying long periods- only one washer/ dryer, had to ask for housekeeping and they didn’t clean surfaces also perhaps they’re having coffee shortage? i was lucky to get one k up snd the cups necessary for machine also ? short supply?
